Giving the bubble bags a go...

Well...try again...

I have 3 five gal bags. A 220, 75, 45.

I also have 1266 grs of wet primo trim (shredded popcorn buds and close in sugar leaf only).

And i have a pretty good idea of what and how to do it. So what i need to know is... how much ice, water and trim to mix with so that i get a decent yield without doing 10 fuckin runs or some shit....

Please dont tell me i need more bags. Im not after purity. Im after a decent yield... and i plannto press the shit out of it for a few days...

The other question is... what is the easiest way to dry it out?

Most people running bubble bags have the opposite mindset...quality over quantity. Your going to be disappointed with your yield from the bags with that mindset.

Just stick to your dry ice hash, you will yeild more. Plus you seem convinced it's just as good so why change?

You will yield the same amount if you have 3 bags or 8 bags. The trichomes don't magically disappear when you add bags to the system. What are you talking about you're after a decent yield?

just add a little water before you dry it out. good advice right?

I realize the yield will be less than with dry ice. No worries... i want to compare the 220 bubble product to the 220 dry ice product after both are pressed hard for a few days. (Not for taste or potency ... just texture/consistency)

To each their own. Everybody has their own tastes. I dont begrudge that in anyone. Those who chase purity... great...thats what they like. So go for it...

It is just not what i like....

The 220 bubble bag is work bag. That's the bag you add all your trim and ice to you mix in. It's not going to be catching trichomes, so it's going to make the comparison part a little difficult. Your 75 and 45 bags will be holding the good stuff.

I gotta ask though, why wouldn't you like a more pure product? If the trichome is where all the active ingredients of cannabis lie (thc, cbd, etc) why would you not want to isolate that and get rid of all the other crap that is of no use to you?

Have you heard the pizza analogy?

If you order a pizza, do you eat the whole pizza, box included? Or do you get rid of the box because it has no nutritional value, and just eat the actual pizza?

Well the trichome is the pizza and the plant is the box.

without a 160 and/or 120 bag it's all going to be shitty quality anyways. The 75/45 will always be sub par with only a 220 in front. Full of capitate stalks and green plant matter but oh well, it's @Gquebed the local resident rollitup troll advocate of no melt hash.

just be sure to add some water and then heat it up once all is said and done.

Ya... I understand the principle of the bags. With the dry ice I shake through a 220 and what is on the table is what becomes hash. So a fair comparison would be to do the bubble with a 220 bag and whatever comes out of that becomes hash. Of course the dry ice stuff will have sediment that the bubble bags don't, as I understand that the 75 and the 45 will both let some stuff pass through...

As for the more pure product... I have made "full melt" with my dry ice with an added wash. I have also purchased it from dispensaries. I don't find that I can taste the difference between that and what I make with dry ice. Neither can anybody I know. We have done taste tests over and over again with purchased product compared to mine and nobody I know has been able to CONSISTENTLY in the same sitting (that is key) pick out the full melt from my dry ice "schwag" (note that a fair test has to be the same strain). And these are a half dozen guys who have been smoking herb and its derivatives for 30+ years. My opinion is that no human taste buds are capable of sensing the difference. I have said so in other threads in this forum and bullshit has been called on me. But.... nobody has backed it up with proof. At least I have tried several taste tests...

Anyway... me being the lazy fucker that I am... I refuse to put an effort into chasing the purity if I am unable to appreciate it. And I don't understand why anybody else does. But I don't criticize them for it. Maybe there is some satisfaction in knowing that you have done the best job you could do in making your hash as pure as possible... I dunno... bragging rights and etcetera...

But as I said to each their own.

The other thing is that the impurities add character. different strains different characteristics.... just like booze... nobody drinks pure alcohol... the caskets it is aged in, the vats that brew it and the ingredients all add to the character. I don't see how weed is different....

I suppose if i was using primo bud tops i would go for purity...

But for trim, even if it is primo trim... i dont see the cost benefit in going for purity....

smoking herb and derivatives for 30+ years doesn't make anyone an expert. They are still casual type smokers if they can't tell the difference of flavor between full melt and no melt. Just because you and your casual type smoker friends can't appreciate the difference in quality doesn't mean noone else can.

The amount of effort you need to put to make a high quality vs a low quality is negligible. It's simply a waste of time to chase low quality. Or maybe you know you can't put out high quality so you don't even bother to chase it?

Impurities add character. LMAO :roll: Stop you're killing me hahahahaha. Weed is different because you are burning/vaporizing it, not drinking it.

Seriously don't waste your time with water and ice, just stick to dry ice hash. That way you at least have no chance to ruin it with improper drying. Oh wait you think adding water to dry ice hash is a good idea, nevermind that.

You need more bags (sorry :)). You need at least a 120 and 90 (the 120 filters out all the junk so you can harvest the 90). And I use a 160, because I harvest the 120 stuff as well.

Good luck.
