hey yall, :weed:

this is a grow going on in 2 tents i got in my garage, in my veg tent (36x20x63) im running one 150 watt hps with two 4 ft T-5s totaling 258 watts at 2600 lumens. in my flowering i have 2 150 watt hps lights, at 300 watts and 3200 lumens, so 558 watts total which is about $2 dollars a day with both tents running in power according to my estimates. the whole setup has cost me a lot and I've only been successful once in the last year ive been trying to grow, so im really giving this one my all.

Over the last 2 months i was growing 3 girl scout cookies but 2 of them were lost to root rot but one survived and is going stronger then ever. (ive had several bad encounters with root rot that im going to post of thread of, basically i went from under watering to over watering in a short period of time and the texture of the potting soil(a local store brand) was very conductive to mold so ive lost 4 2ft plants from it.

anyways now I have an Og kush clone, 1 remaining girl scout cookie, and 2 sweet island skunk.to prevent root rot this time around ive added a layer of rocks to the bottom of the pots in the og and sweet island skunk. ive done some research and it seems that this gives the soil a nice 50/50 blend of oxygen and water to help roots breathe. im also using 2 grow bags as an expeirment to see how they perform against normal pots.

For the soil im using EB stones Recipe 420 mix http://www.ebstone.org/13_recipe420.php. ive used them for about 3 plants and they absolutely love it, its also a great texture and consistency. the nutrients im using in addition are in the picture, i use 5 caps of Grow Big, 2 caps of Vegetative growth, and 1 cap of potassium and hydrogen peroxide every other filling, in about a 4-5 gallon container, im not sure the exact size.

the Girl scout cookie is about at 1.5 months and the others are about 1 week from when i got them.

they are just chillin in vegging untill they get a little bigger(all at around 2 ft) then im going to put them in to flower. ill be posting updates about every week if anyones following along.

You shouldnt be using that h202 with every feeding. All it does is kill all the beneficials in your soil.

i agree with penguin...h202 is good if you are having problem with bacteria and mold in your medium, especially hydro...IMO h202 is uneeded and a waste of time in dirt medium, for hydro however...it will work OK as long as u only useit when you need to...h202 has no nutrient value to plants, its only good at killing bacteria in medium, the bad AND the good kind...which is not good...like i said, if ur running hydro, nft, dwc ebbnflow or somehting like that and u get slimy roots or green/algae in the water or medium, h202 is good for stuff like that to help kill off the bad stuff, but like penguin said, everytime u use it and kill off the bad stuff your also killing off the good benefical bacteria that plants need in their medium in order to keep them healthy and keep the bad bacteria at bay...good luck
