How is it hype exactly? Of course every club has blue dream out here, that's kinda the point of it being a top seller. Good luck getting seeds, and as I said the genetics are not available to everyone.
Those do not look like gsc. I won't say they aren't since your environment is not mine. Gsc are not really hairy at all. Week 8, should be all nug. Purple if you have AC and strong lighting.I bought some GSC clones off a dude in Fresno. Met him through Bud Trader. Is there any chance I have the 'real' cut? After reading through these posts I highly doubt it. Y'all make GSC seem like the Holy Grail . There is a delivery service in my home town that sells GSC and they are super duper bomb.
I harvest next week it looks like. I am on week 9 flowering. Here is a pre-mature bud from a few days ago (about two weeks early) it was off a stunted plant on the fringes of my light, so i decided to try a small sample

If you don't understand the difference between clubs hyping flowers not from the real thing and the real cutting/flowers, there's no real way to help you dude. Yeah every dispensary has blue dream. Not every dispensary has REAL well done blue dream from the real cut. Same for GSC.

I get that you are an experienced smoker and all, but you really are off the mark on this one.
See, this is the problem with unstable genetics, pollen chucking, if you will... since the parents and parents of the parents are all poly hybrids there is the potential for many many different genetic make ups to appear in the plants. Sometimes you get lucky and everything comes together in one seed and you get a great plant. Unfortunately because the genetics are not stable, the odds against finding that exact phenotype (or genotype, I always get that mixed up
) are very high. So you take clones to perpetuate that plant. That is what a "clone only" is. It's also referred to as a "keeper". When you compare the real clone only SCBD to a fake you can tell the difference. It's only hype and bullshit if you can't acquire them. Is GSC hype? Sure. Absolutely. Same way the OG's are hype, the Kushman cut of strawberry cough, and others. Sure they get hyped to legendary status, but that doesn't mean they are not very very good.
I don't know about American Beauty (that crappy movie with kevin spacey in it, right?) but we've been chasing clone only since at least the 80's. I remember hunting around and finding Northern Lights back then.

Well, I can't say for sure - but I picked up two clones about a month ago from the local dispensary, also sold as GSC, also for $10 each - and they look very similar to yours. Not sure if they're the real deal, but I hope so!
Cookie sales may have ended but they do have the candy bars (Nestlie Crisp?) in the GS green color wrappers you cant miss. Made with the real cookie ingredients made in conjunction with GS cookies. They really taste SO good and just like the cookie flavors. If you're a craving, run to your candy bar aisle of your grocery store!

Dream is everywhere...and 95%+ of it is the real deal. There was a point where fakes were around. But now days the real cut is everywhere. It is dank and easy to grow, huge yields. But everyone and there mom grows it, and makes it hard as a vendor when 10 other people that day brought it in. But if you are the go to guy or it and have the best you can do amazing numbers with blue dream. A growers dream for sure.
GSC on the other hand is so different cut to cut and there are tons of cuts/pheno's as we all already know. I think that GSC is the biggest mystery/hard to get the real deal ever...harder than dream, OG, norther lights, gdp or anything else I have tried to find.

I think it is all hype. Every now and then I will smoke weed that is sooo bomb and soo sweet tasting that I never forget it. Girl Scout Cookies here in my Central Valley town are around and they are incredible. But the best weed I have ever smoked, is not even a 'real' strain as far as the internet is concerned. It was called 'Seasons Greetings'.
Its all hype I think. The super bomb Girl Scout Cookies we have here don't look anything like what pictures of GSC I have found on the internet and non of those pictures look similar to each other. I think someone just gets a bad ass pheno type going and they pick the trendy name thats being thrown around.
I take EVERYTHING in the 'Weed Industry' with a grain of salt. If you are a garage growing novice like me, then you are at the mercy of whatever clones you buy off of Bud Trader or from a club. Its a crap shoot.
Right now Im growing some "Girl Scout Cookies' But they have been flowering for 9 weeks and they are not done yet. They are sure as shit not GSC. It is very sativa dominate and it is pissing me off. BUT its going to be some bomb weed for sure. just not the hyped GSC.
I will change the name of my weed to RIU HYPE for this grow for any friends that ask.

I've grown two different cuts of GSC. Different, yes -- but both definitely GSC. The smell and taste is quite specific. Right now, I grow a couple GSC, and the rest Green Ribbon. I've seeded both intentionally with an LA Confidential male, so I have a hundred or so seeds of each. I'll prolly grow those out at the beginning of next year, and hope for something special from one of the beans.

thats kinda what i was thinking a friend gifted me a cut and sent me this photo of her letting me know this the cut he gave me and this is what she looks like i know ill grow it better far as looks anyways so if she's not the forum cut which one do you think she is
