Giant single DWC.....

Has anyone ever tried a single plant DWC grow in a 55 gallon res before. I might give it a try and see how large a root system I can get. I would imagine with that much room you would get a hell of a harvest. Any thoughts?

I've considered this countless times but have never done it. I'm very curious to see how it goes if you do end up doing it.

its prob the best way to go with super cropping and and a decent veg time...prob pull off 2 3 lbs...

Not mine but impressive as hell. I think these are in 50 gallon tubs.

O.O holy awesome.

That would be killer 55 gallon DWC and super scrog the shit out of it.

Your roots will be massive. If you veg long enough.

I'm flowering in 10l buckets(after 3 month veg) I thought , "they will be fine , plenty of space".

Now i'm 7 weeks in flower it's tight on space in the bucket.

Somewhere on this site and I'm sure its lost too the archives now is a grow journal of a guy who did something similiar. he used a 20 gallon tub (the kind you get at lowes etc) drilled holes in the bottom for the roots and set the hole thing in an even larger tub 50+ gals and rigged it to flood a couple times a day. At one point he had 2600 watts on this one plant with it tied down etc. Never did get to see the end of his journal so I'm not sure how this one ended.

I think the same set up would have been way more practical had he taken it outside. I plan to try his idea out at some point but I am interested to see if anyone has a better idea.
