DUDE!!! WTF????? that old man is nuts!!!! we grow some peppers from Thailand that rate 500,000ish on the Scoville scale. i ate one of those once, i was miserable for 2 days!! iv been wanting to get some of these ghost chillies but am afraid to handle them lol.

I just throught I'd put the video out there seeing there are aso many of you wanting to grow weapon grade peppers.

i watched some of the other ghost chili videos and they were saying it only make then hurt for like 5 minutes or so..but the heat is for 30 minutes..
so im guessing the 25 is bearable or something

The heat depends alot on growing conditions.

i grew a ghost plant a few years ago, they were too hot to do anything with for me. it was a wasted spot in the garden that could of been growing something yummy.

They are good for creating self defence sprays etc.

Ooo aerosolized ghost pepper oil, for when people try to sneak in to your garden. that sounds awesome. waaaay more effective than mace!!

lol, one of my roomates just picked up a habanero pepper thinking it was a small bell pepper...it was pretty damn funny..
maybe i could see what would happen with this ghost pepper..being a million time hotter haahha

The ghost is hot enough you want to wear gloves to handle, it's dangerous for animals and such as well so you really gotta be careful where you put them. What color habanero was it? I grew some chocolate habaneros one year that were scorching, they were even too hot. Now it's just tons of sweet peppers/jalapenos and ristra cayennes.

I love heat! Habs are about my limit, but I've got 2 strains going that put habs to the test,... "Hawaiian" and "Bolivian Rainbow" I've only heard how hot the Bolivian peppers are, but I can say from first hand the Hawaiian peppers were on par with habs or hotter out of a smaller bright red pod!


I'm working with a grower that has a germinated "Buhnt Jolikia" (sp?) And so long as we get some pods on that plant in a few months one of them will be mine!

it was yellow/red..he was in tears lol...he just bit it of chewed swallowed...

Glad to see someone else with a taste for heat.
Anyhow, I do grow them in my indoor grow.
Here is how their life cycle works - my observational data:
Seed to flower - Can be accomplished with 24hr on. AKA your veg room.
They will produce little yellow flowers. I believe this is the time they will
pollinate each other in order to make the peppers themselves.
They seem to flower perpetually at 24/0.

I then throw them into 12/12 aka your budding room. This is when they
form the pepper pods. I have been growin them in a 2KHPS W/ CO2, and have had
great results. VERY VERY VERY SPICY!
I would say a single pepper pod lasts me 2 weeks if I am conservative.

I simply germinate them in a rapid rooter, and straight to a 5 gal with FFOF.
No nutes, just water. They seem to tolerate a LOT of stress. Heat, etc.
