A new show on the Bio channel about reincarnation. Sorta interesting.
These kids under 5 blab stories about dying to their parents in their past life with great accuracy.
I used to want to be reincarnated when I was young but as life goes on I wanna be in heaven when I go.
Interesting show because most of the kids past lives were victims of a tragic death.

    I'm not, nor my soul.
I've felt and saw things some people only read or dream about.
Some people just never connect to that place in time or ever will.
One guy on the show was like you " all bullshit, I don't want this in my house, blah blah blah ".
By researching what his kid was saying he found the truth and now believes in the past and ghosts and maybe even God.

    That doesn't impress me.

Impressionable people, especially, are subject to deceit, not only that, all of us, impressionable or not, are subject to error. Some you're aware of, but most, you're not. Our minds play tricks on us everyday.

Tell me, what would be the purpose for a soul to re-enter the life of a young child?

You wouldn't be impressed with a ham samich and a blowjob for that matter.

A soul that would have something to contribute to mankind, thus reincarnated.
It needed to be recycled to carry out an order by God or whatever you want to believe (or not believe) in.

I felt things when I was young and still do that can't be explained.
    I can't say I'm impressionable or weak.
Though I agree, we all subject to error.

Why would God care about Earthly dealings when Heaven is humanities ultimate destiny?

Why believe in such things without evidence?

Do these kids know Algebra? When the French Revolution took place? Who was responsible for initiating WWI?

There are very simple tests that could be administered, none of which they would pass. I say that in complete confidence, not arrogance, because science is unbiased.

Why don't we see anything like that? Why don't they speak or act as adults would? Why do they seemingly only selectively remember certain events? Events which would absolutely not "contribute to mankind", such as tales of past relatives or embellishments of past lovers?

Whether you believe or not, it would behoove you to read ANYTHING by Michael Newton, Brian Weiss, or Ian Lawton. They are highly educated, highly respected psychiatrists who work with "life between lives", or as it is known outside the US "the interlife". Perhaps you will better understand what and who these kids are after educating yourself. And perhaps these kids will have some sort of resolve as to the events they "remember" if they were to undergo appropriate hypnosis by a certified LBL therapist. This subject is not about religion or psychiatric bullshit - I am seriously opposed to both. But after a shit ton of research about LBL, I feel at peace with where we go when we die, why we decide to come back and why sometimes we decide not to, and most importantly, the greatest power god grants us: free will. I hope you will at least consider this notion, Padawanbater2.

    Great first post!

There is a reason this type of stuff is seen as pseudoscience.. It's because what is proposed is unverifiable. Whatever tests that could be performed could just as easily be dismissed as 'unscientific' by the party in question.

I understand you're brand new to this forum, but I must make this clear, for the billionth time, what is unverifiable is useless. If you cannot verify it, if there is no quantifiable evidence for it, if nothing suggests it which is measurable, don't bring it to the table and don't expect me to believe it. I won't. Neither will millions of others.

    Understand WHY.

I can't take your word for it, it's nothing personal, it's how we discern reality. If we were to take every mans word for reality, we'd be knee deep in unicorns and fairies. You understand..

Until you present evidence, propositions are useless. You can come at me with Superman's ability to fly, if you can't replicate it or explain HOW he flies, I won't believe it. "Magic" means NOTHING to me. "Magic" might as well be saying "Banana banana banana!", as it's equally as descriptive. Everything which you can't prove is "MAGIC". I'm not interested in MAGIC!. I'm interested in data, calculations, tests, results... keep your bullshit to yourself, it helps no one.

I'm sorry for the people who can't feel things from another place.
    I need no scientific proof.
    It's not "Magic". LOL
"I'm glad I'm not young anymore."

    Padawanbater2 Well-Known Member

    It is magic.

Your disassociation for needing scientific evidence proves that.

You don't need proof, so long as you feel..

That's not good enough for me. That's not good enough for reality.

If you can take solace in delusion, more power to you, I can't. So I'll continue on the actual pursuit of explaining reality.

I about shit myself when I read this OP because my granddaughter did this the other day, I'm not going into the whole story, but the way she explained to me what a cannon can do right down to how you feel near a blast and what it does, it's pretty freaky.

What is your definition of reality?

I bet you also need scientific proof that the Military creates secret weapons and airplanes we don't know about.

You probably also need "scientific proof" that the 1947 Roswell incident was a cover-up, even though the government changed their story of what happened and did not allow questions to be asked.

    Padawanbater2 Well-Known Member

No, you're right, we should just automatically assume everything until it's proven otherwise..

That's the best way to discern reality, definitely.
