They both will work good.
They both end up being the same price in the end though, as the floranova is 3x more potent per volume, but costs about 3x more per volume. Besides having to shake the shit outta the floranova before adding, it's easier, being a 1part and all. IMO.
Only problem I have with floranova is it can clog up pump filters. And It stains my shirt!
Don't look past maxi-series as an equally good option. And it's cheaper:-)

Hey Fred,
If your not using a drain-to-waste system with your open-root hydroton pots, make sure you run an active EWC tea.

Heizenberg EWC Tea thread here on rollitup is a standard recipe and will save you from any cyanobacteria that is lurking in your tap.

ok cool yea I just decided to go ahead and finish with the grow micro bloom. im in week one of flowing and I just changed my reservoir out and now this morning I went in the room and some of my plants are fringing upward and some tips are pointing down? my ph jumped a lot form last night it was 5.9 and this morning it was 6.7 so I phd it to 6,0 hopefully that's all the problem is I also hit em last night with neem oil sm 9-0 mix im thinking it can also be that posibblle this is my first hydro grow. a lot different from soil but I think I like it better,

I am using hydrogen peroxide and sm-90 in my reservoir so far it seems to be working good my first batch of nutes didn't have have any hydrogen or sm and it started to smell really funk and after the first night there was some kinda of fungas growing above the water UGGG! so I drained the water cleaned the reservoir and added some hydrogen and sm90 and it Is a thousand % better. I will look into the tea recipe haven't heard of it,

I am using 9x9 square pots im not exactly sure the gallon size they seem like the are 2.5 to 3.0
but my roots are starting to come out of the bottom of the pots and I was wondering if I should move to bigger pots or not. I am in week one of flower and I am growing gdp and grape ape so bout eight week flowering cycle. so they still have a lot of growing to do. I also have the plants in 4in rockwool cubes and I have allways seen pics of people just gowing the whole cycle with just RW. so is it worth it to spend more money on more pots and hydroton? If it is I will get the pots and trans plant if it will make a bigger crop? just looking for info from people that have acutually done similar grows and have seen the results?

use jungle juice from advanced nutrients. same things as GH 3 part but for a lot less. ive used it for the last 2-3 years.

yea I have all ways use advanced for years never allways the two part I hope I wont regret the change I have just heard that this was a good line for the set up I have

LOL most of my customers that tried Jungle Juice hated it and went back to GH. Even the ones that got it free promor 24L jugs from AN. If AN nutrients are so superior why would they copy an inferior nutrients (according to them) and try to sell it to you anyways?

idk but its worked great for me! so good i havent changed to anything else in the last 2-3 years lol

In what type of system did it suck for you? Sure, I wouldn't recommend it's use in aero or dwc, but it can work.
I've used it in practically every other type of setup with great success. I'm always looking to cut costs these days though. Both the floranova AND the floraseries are expensive to use. Having said that, I'm currently back using the FN grow for veg and stretch in my own personal grow, :-D. But using maxibloom in flower. :-)
I get a 50lb/5 gal bucket of maxibloom for 300 bucks. MUCH cheaper than the floraseries or floranova. Practically identical results.

No I didn't do a side by side, but I started using the floraseries more than 20 yrs ago, so I feel I would be able to tell if AN's version(oh the blasphemy rite?) was bullshit or not. It's not. It performed as if it was the floraseries. I used the original formulas and heads modified lucas with AN's version for quite a while.

I've ran all three GH base nutes in flood and drain trays over the last 5 years. I started with the 3 part and used it for a few years, it worked good. Then I tried the maxi powders because I needed nutes and was broke and they were cheap. They worked good too go figure, but I didn't like mixing the powders. Then I was given a sample quart of flora nova, and decided to try that. Guess what.... it worked well too, lol. I liked how easy it was to just measure and mix one nute so I am still useing the nova. I do run Silica blast when I do res changes, and I usually run cal-mag but I've been out for the last few weeks, and the plants are looking good so I might skip it for a minute and see how they do.
