how do u guys get water to your lil ladies? I plan on using the nearby creek and some small hosing to make some sorta drip system from a small water container buried in a hill above the plants.(jus a thought really) will be playin this one out by ear. don't wanna do too much water hauling as I want the trail minimum but will make the sacrifice if necessary. post some ideas or pics would be amazing.... another thought was damning the creek up a bit and running a hose down and around the plants jus keeping the ground almost saturated.. ****had also received some crazy water retaining crystals from a grow supply shop and will be tryin these to keep pots some what wet. thanks _Tycoon:leaf:

I use a small pump in one area, the other spots are left alone as they are planted where the water table is shallow-The roots take all they need.

thanks... so ur plants don't have any problems with over watered/flooded like that? or is the ground not completely saturated? very curious... ill be up in the moutains where the are springs where I can plant and leave alone I believe. iv seen people do mounds of dirt on/by springs and planted on them, hand watered till they were big enough to grab the water from below the mound and left alone.( im pretty medicated so excuse me if this dnt make sense)_Tycoon

run a small tube from a near by spring then if have to will splice the main water tube then put a smaller fish tank hose into it. in case it need broadened outward from the spring to other plot. If need be I will bury buckets full of water up above and make a small tube go down from it depending on what plot I'm doing

I have done automatic watering systems in the past for guerrilla grows, all gravity fed, ran by hoses to each plant with a drip line, but I have found the length of time required to haul all the equipment in, planning and setting it all up, disguise it, and routinely maintain it was not worth the time. Also, hoses, reservoirs, pumps, and anything man made, stands out, and could potentially attract attention, and its not hard for somebody to follow a hose in the middle of the forest. I simply water once a week, when I go to visit my guerrilla plots, the key is to find close water sources in the area before you plant, knowing easiest access to the water. I use a couple 5 gallon buckets filled with water with lids for no spillage. In previous years, I have gotten away without even watering plants, there are lots of excellent water absorbing soil amendments you can use, like peat moss. Mulch also helps drastically in keeping moisture in the soil, and stops any evaporation. There are also things called polymer crystals and they can absorb a lot of water. So, in my opinion, its personal preference on watering and automatic watering systems, generally monster plants require a lot more water as opposed to smaller plants, so in theory, water every day through drip line would give you a much larger yeild. But the time, money and patience required to set all that up, could be put towards more plants instead. How many plants do you intend on growing, if its just a few, setting up a drip line could be very plausible, as long as the system was well camouflaged and disguised. You are right about trails, The less you visit a plot the better, Its better not to take the same path more then once, the more you walk the same path, the more the trail becomes beat down. It might not seem like that big of a deal, but that is how A LOT of new growers lose plants, they go every day, take the same path, and have a straight path beat down in the grass leading right to the plants, so easy a 4 year old kid could follow. There are people that look for marijuana, so the more stealthy and hidden everything is, the less chance you have of your plants being robbed, also do not tell anybody, trust nobody, very easy for a new grower to get excited and want to tell or show people, leading to their plants going missing right after. Hope that helps, happy growing

always maintaining to divert your travels throughout the woods is a great lesson to learn I have actually followed paths i thought were deer trails then they turn out to be a plot every time i find one i always write a note saying found it be smarter next time they have to flip when they see the note i know i would

you know what your talking about. but as for your water supply try this-- Build dams using rect tarp( one end tied to two trees up about 8ft, the other end made into a spout by joining corners together using wire.) The tarp is on a 45 deg angle, under the spout end is a 60l plastic garbage bin with shade cloth as a lid (wrap wire around to hold cloth in place ) this stops animals drinking it. try to have it in shade to stop evap, use buckets to water, use black or army green tarp.
They are easy to bring in and easy to set up. In a heavy 10 min shower ,its full. I set up a 4 in each patch(30 hole patches), gives me 240 litres a visit. If its not raining much just space it out, dont use all at once.
Lugging in drums of water is back breaking and fucks your trail. Try to put them in the shade just outside the pen.

I had actually gotten like 6 good sized sample bags (if I poured one onto 5 gal bucket and added water would prolli fill the bucket) from a good buddy and will be tryin them out this yr putting about 1/4-1/8 cups in each hole
