getting too tall

Move the lights... Upward growth is caused by the plant growing to the light... If you could move it to the sides it would grow out not up.

If the dirt is solid enough you may be able to tilt the whole pot... If you could figure out a way to keep you pot standing slanted... THe side on top would then grow...

Hope those help

The plant doesn't stretch anymore, once I figured everything with the lights out and got what I needed it stopped stretching.

what do the leaves look like their missing?

Just some lateral thinking here.

Put the pot on a 45deg wedge and grow diagonally if you have space for this?

Maybe you should look into super growing, where you trick the the plant thinking that each one is the top of the plant. You pinch twice around the stock and bend just below a node. Look into it, just a suggestion, not really sure on it.

.Matt : Hey man.. so the lights arnt the prob cause you have a sufficent amount of them but some other thing to check are the soil, (if its to moist and hard transplant in to a better medium with some rocks in the bottom of the pots to improve draining).. For the co2 a good easy way is to get a package of "DRY ACTIVE YEAST" and mix it in a bottle with some warm to hot water, poke hole in the top of the bottle .. (reseach on google a little more about this).. Another thing, do you check your ph balance and what fertalizer u usin.

Its getting transplanted tonight into a bigger pot and I'll be putting in better soil tonight too. I haven't checked the ph, but I could do that tonight too, whats it supposed to be at?

And the only fertilizer I have ever used is neptunes harvest fish fertalizer 2-4-1 and I just started using that last night.

I'll google the c02 stuff a little more, but thanks for the heads up too

Yeah transplanting into bigger pots will be good. try to transplant them right when the light comes on to reduce the amount of stress and so that they have a full day to rebuild from it.

Have you checked out the fox farm family .. its an amazing group...

co2 will be like candy to them.. :)

I've definitely been looking into fox farms, I was going to wait on ordering those until my second grow. And i'm liking the c02 idea more and more every time I read about it

Hey people my plant is getting too tall for its area and I was wondering if I could tie the stalk down or low stress train it still? it's about 2-3 weeks into flowering and its about 3.5 tall. I don't want to stress it out or anything and have it go hermie on me, I just want to know if theres anything I can do to it while its flowering to pull it down a bit?
Sup .matt,

I happened to be in the same situation as you a few weeks ago and I LST'd a few of my babies with no problems. I basically tied down some of the larger stems down with weights and they recovered nicely after 2 days. All the shoots are now growing upwards while the weights are still keeping the stems lateral. I also did some pinching/supercropping a week into flower and the plants are fine. However, I did notice that growth slowed a bit and it took about 4-5 days for the stems to develop a nice knot at the bend points. Both methods have made my plants quite low and bushy so I'm sure you can do it as long as you don't go overboard. A little bit of stress to the plant at a time (LST only then rest for a few days, then Pinching a few stems over a week or so) seems to be the least harmful method, and I've yet to get a hermie. Hope this helps. Peace and happy growing!

the plant seems to be responding great to everything growthwise, but 2 of my big bottom fan leaves are turning yellow, and a couple other leaves have little spots on them. Any ideas?
