Getting the wrinkles out of mylar

Anyone have any ideas on how to get the wrinkles and kinks out of mylar? My thought was to iron it, but more likely than not that will turn into a fairly hazardous calamity...

No, you can't iron it. The easiest way is to cover it in flat white paint.
