Getting Screwed...

Hey everyone!

Wanted to share my recent altercation on eBay...

I recently sold my Nikon D7000 with everything except I forgot the CD. The software on the CD is available for free on the Nikon website. The buyer now wants a full refund of the camera. I also specified that I do NOT accept returns.
The buyer mentioned he wasn't happy because "it was a bad deal from the get-go". I actually sold my "baby" (camera) to pay for some debts, so I don't have the money to send it back, nor can I afford even the eBay fees that were charged...
I'm just so pissed that this guy can't understand and just acts selfishly asking for a full refund, for a free software CD...
eBay is currently reviewing the Case, I'm just hoping they don't go in his favor...
Damn I'm pissed!!!
Sorry, needed to vent...gonna smoke a bowl now :Pbongsmilie

Why not just download the software, burn it to a 10 cent cd, and mail it to his address? The whole thing should cost you less than a dollar and then he wouldn't be able to complain.

Yeah I thought the same thing...the guy wants to sell it back with his lenses so he needs the original...I don't see why you would buy a used camera to do that or why you'd buy it on eBay (sold it for 250$ more than if I just sold it on a photo forum).
Anyway the guy is not too smart either ways cuz if someone buys a camera with multiple lenses, chances are that this person already has the software she needs to operate the camera...
Just sucks that this guy would make me loose 250$ that I don't have for a stupid worthless CD...makes no sense to me...he'd have to pay for the shipping so that's at least 40$...

That sucks. I hate ebay and paypal and haven't used either in some years. Just go ahead and mail him the cd anyways. Mail him some porn too.

I had a guy file a complaint on me saying he never received the item, I had tracking proving he signed for it, but paypal still refunded the total price of the item($250.00). It took over a month to get my money back from paypal. Had to file a complaint with my bank, paypal and ebay. I have since closed both accounts and i will Never use either one. Craigslist cash only from now on. Fuck Ebay!!!

as long as you sold the product AS IS... used.... i don't see why the buyer can complain..?

ebay is usually pretty good at these cases, they do a good job protecting the buyer and seller.

Well I have the decision now...eBay decided I will have to refund him completely...despite me checking the "NO RETURNS" box.
So now they expect me to send back 1150$ that I don't have. They said eBay will pay him if I don't. Could I just close my paypal and ebay accounts to solve the issue?

Just refuse to accept the package and have it returned to him, just to buy yourself some time and cost him money. The seller is always screwed in the end.

That's why I'm just thinking of closing my account. I can't pay that amount, especially for a stupid CD...
if I close my account what would eBay do?
Hell, I'd prefer risking it and not paying them back and having PayPal pay the guy...
This is just buyer's remorse, the exact reason why I didnt want to deal with returns...but eBay policies ignores this and forces me to pay, that's just not fair.

Fuck them what would happen if you did close it ? Are you ever going to want to use them again ?

If you clearly selected NO RETURNS! They cant make you give the money back I would definitely go for an appeal! Refuse package as someone else said. Im sorry trying to return a camera over a missing cd hell no! Good Luck I hope it works out for you!
