Getting ready to start first Hydro Bubbleponics Grow

I have everything I need I think except I'm nervous as hell. I've been planning this for a while and still unsure exactly what to do.

I have this tub 10 gallon top feeder. http://www.ebay.com/itm/130832732812?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
I have 5 of these seeds http://www.herbiesheadshop.com/short...sed-seeds-3892
I have 4 x 8" air stones and one of these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ecoplus-Air-4-Four-Outlet-Pump-aquarium-hydroponics-eco-plus-variable-control-/400654265010?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d48daeab2

I have tent, filter, fan, thermometer, ph meter, 150w hps.
A few first two week questions:

1. This tub is 10 gallons, how many gallons of water do I use each week?
2. First two weeks I add nothing to the water?
3. Adjust the PH for the first two weeks to 5.5?

I start in 3 gallon buckets and I fill em up to the net pot. I run quarter nutes for the first week or two them slowly bump it up. And that pH seems just a touch low to me but should be fine

You want to fill up the water to just under the net pots so that the roots can grow into the water. the tote is difficult sometimes cause the roots will grow together and if you have a problem with one plant its hard to separate them, but i've seen it work too so don't get discouraged by that comment. PH wise I usually check whatever the nute bottle says, make sure you got an PH meter instead of the strips. I just upgraded and its a trillion times better, best investment so far.

I have some things I have to roll with. I've spent a small fortune trying to grow a little bit of personal stash.

The nutes I have are these.

Botanicare Hydroplex - 8 oz bloom maximizer. $12.84 http://www.ebay.com/itm/130744908065
Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Bloom 1-4-5-1 1qt. $18.00 http://www.ebay.com/itm/121209668133
Botanicare Liquid Karma 8 oz. $14.79 http://www.ebay.com/itm/261429534449
Botanicare Cal Mag Plus 8 oz. $9.95 http://www.ebay.com/itm/BOTANICARE-C...item4ae280ef36

I have 4 8" air stones and this pump. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ecoplus-Air-4-Four-Outlet-Pump-aquarium-hydroponics-eco-plus-variable-control-/400654265010?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d48daeab2

What I'm most nervous about is feeding the plants. These are autos and bloom after the second lateral leaves have formed.

I supposed if I could not grow without that pump I would buy it but at this point I'm pretty tapped out.

I'm soaking seeds today. The tent is setup. I'm ready to go.

I was trying to come up with my own feeding schedule but really have zero confidence in it.

I figured the first two weeks just feeding them a little Karma and water and at week 3 start real food. As lame as it is, this is what I came up with.

Week 1 - 2ml per gal Karma
Week 2 - 2ml per gal Karma
Week 3 - 10ml PBPB, 2ml hydroplex, 5ml Karma
week 4 - 10ml PBPB, 3ml hydro, 5ml Karma
week 5 - 15ml PBPB, 5ml hydro, 5ml Karma
week 6 - 15ml PBPB, 5ml hydro, 5ml Karma
week 7 - 15ml PBPB, 4ml hydro, 5ml Karma
week 8 - 15ml PBPB, 3ml hydro, 5ml Karma
week 9 - 0ml PBPB, 0ml hydro, 0ml Karma

don't know Botanicare Liquid Karma http://www.botanicare.com/Liquid-Karma-01-01-05--P47.aspx
"organic compounds not found in regular plant foods"
organics and DWC don't play nice together
just wonder how you start seeds for DWC use a seed starter kit with rockwell cubes
i use reg.female rooted clones
Thanks, I'll go look closer at Karma and DWC. Peopel are using it for sure because they were complaining it stained their roots.

I soaked the seeds until they sank. I have them in napkins now at 85* waiting for them to pop. Once cracked, I'll drop them in the rockwool cubes, put them in the netpot with the hydrotron and start the top feeder. Is that not the way to do it? LOL I really don't know.

stuff must work i just don't want you to get root rot that's all
No kidding! It's one of my biggest fears.

I did a ton of reading and looks like if I use a capful of 3% h2o2 a week and tons of air that may keep the rot at bay.

One of my biggest hurdles will be rez temp. I don't run the AC in my house plus this will be in a tent. I'm really going to have to watch for the rot and may end up having to use bleach or pondeyze or something.

I won't know what my water temp will be until I start bubbling. :)

Here are my notes for Root rot I found on various places on the net.

Stealth Hydro recommends 1 teaspoon (5ml) 3% hydrogen perroxide per six gallons of water/nutrient solution.
Well bleach actually worked, i have new root growth after using 12ml per 30L of water ( 7 gallons)
I dont use h2o2 anymore but i add bleach at 1ml per 10 gal every week to prevent root rot, and to kill root rot you can double it (2ml per 10gal)

Some people like to add beneficial bacteria to their water to help prevent and treat root-related plant diseases and help make nutrients available to the plant. Some of the formulas available are Hydroguard, Aquashield, Piranha, VooDoo Juice, Great White, Subculture B, Rooters, and Plant Savers. Most of these can be used with both hydro and soil grows. I personally recommend Hydroguard because I've used it successfully to treat Root Rot (and it's also very affordably priced, you can use it throughout your grow without breaking the bank).

As I mentioned, it is incredibly beneficial to try to get as much oxygen as possible dissolved in your water. Therefore it's a good idea to buy a BIG air pump and big air stones for your hydroponic system. The more bubbles and surface agitation, the better, as this dissolves more oxygen into the water. Root rot cannot thrive in an oxygen-rich environment and your plants roots will love it. I use one EcoPlus 2 Air Pump w/ 2 Outlets for each 10 gallon container, which I have connected to 2 large air stones per air pump (since this one 2 outlets - this helps make sure there's plenty of oxygen in the water healthy roots and faster growth). This has worked great for me - I haven't had root rot since I started using this air pumps/air stone combination.

i use the complete http://www.skunklabshc.com/microbe-tea-info.html you can also make it https://www.rollitup.org/t/dwc-root-slime-cure-aka-how-to-breed-beneficial-microbes.361430/
Mycogrow and Ancient Forest read first page
just my 2 cents
skunk lab is easy to brew already in bags watch the video... look at feed chart that's why i use their line up now, res clear is like hydrogruard
where i buy it save shipping cost
http://www.ebay.com/itm/191197764268?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT i made offer $24 they take it

if you go the tea way use that with nutes no h202 or hydroguard it well kill the Bennie's in tea

biggest hurdles will be rez temp no worry with tea
o ya that's why i start seeds in soil and use clones have back up's don't do autos tho

take a flash light see if light go's thew it.. if so you well have to cover it up can't have light going in res.

get as much oxygen as possible dissolved in your water = lots of air bubbles blue or black air lines if using clear cover with duck tape

hydrotron rinse real good than rinse again

nothing organics in res. your call with what you have

I'm nervous with ya
