Okay so from everything that I have read and now fully believe, I will be a stalwart soil grower from now on.
Since this is my plan, and not wanting to put it off until next year, I tilled up our horse dry lot, in order to have PLENTY of compost prepared. Below you will see the composted horse manure and hay remnants that have already composted naturally. Besides the pile is a 5 gallon bucket for comparison. I have not yet started with the manure/hay remnants that still have to be composted, which is probably 10 times that amount, maybe more.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
