I got in ahead of the Socialism... I gotta give a big shout out to the govt. and the stock market too. I listened to what the govt. said and invested in the opposite. Worked like a charm . There's a lot more to it than that, but that's a story for another day.

thanks ... appreciate the frankness and openess. I am taking the summer off for the first time .... grateful to have the opportunity and enjoying the freedom of choice. We'll see when Sept. rolls around whether I return in some similar or different capacity. For now, hugely relaxing and fun. :peace:

Okay, your summer mission is to run down every ice cream truck you encounter and wedge those little bastards to the curb.

Quick story... I've got this place out in the sticks. Real comfortable, real quiet. Nearest town is 20 miles away. So one day I'm sitting outside just taking it all in (baked) when I hear way off in the distance the tell tale sounds of an ice cream truck. Now if I travel about 3 miles in a hurry, I can make that road he's coming down. Off I go as fast as I dare and just in the nick of time I run out to that road and flag that sun of a gun down. Now he is about 12 miles from the nearest road junction and 20 miles from town on a dead two lane road. He just STARED at me as I put flagged him down waving a 5 dollar bill. My eyes were bloodshot. He was just silent the whole time. I think he was in fear of his life... All I know is I got three ice cream sandwiches, and ate two before I got back to my place...

GrizzDude or anyone,

Check your state gov't website(in the US at least), I know alot of them offer assistance in solar/wind power sometimes offering up to 70% of the cost. Although, if you're really off the grid in BFE, then you may not qualify. I've looked into this quite a bit to try an offset the huge cost and selling back electricity.

Yeah I did look into that but like you said in BFE, don't even have an official address, they can't do much for me. I'm nowhere near any power lines(thank God) to sell anything back, but I'm sure I can find a use for the electricity I will be producing:-D.

yea ...those are the kinds of things that one might not think about and need to be prepared for. So you're back into the mainstream ... or mostly? :peace:
