Its basiclly just a large RDWC system. Id love to build one myself someday. Ive seen awesome results running and EC if 1-1.2 but not sure what kind of ppms that equals. Depends on nute brands. A good system runs a water-cooler. All the ones Ive seen, everyone uses rockwool to start and then fill the baskets with hydroton. Oh, and use nothing smaller than 1 1/4 pvc tubing to connect the units. Check out this link to a grow on another forum. I dont know if you can see pics without registering though.

Undercurrent is my fave. It takes a little less nutes than others cause they are so readily available to the plants. PPM follows pretty close to EC so in dude's example of 1 to 1.2 that would be about 1000 to 1200 ppm give or take. I'll bring mine up to 1800 ppm by the end of the cycle if the plants can take it. Every strain is different as far as the EC they can handle but if you stick to the rule of thumb that if just the tips of the leaves burn or curl you are at your max capacity without doing real damage. PH is the same as other hydro setups where you want to be in the low 6's.

I know this is a month old, but if you guys are still looking into the undercurrent systems, come check out my grow. Just built one, making my first run in it as I write. Awesome concept for growing. Kinda had a ruff go at it early on, but after some trial and error, I finally got it going smooth.
