The title says it all guys ! this thread will be all about the best ways of germinating and keeping ur seedling in happy place! :)

Right now i got 4 kosher kush , 4 tangerine dream , 3 triple cheese , 4 chocolope and 1 mako haze !
this was my first time growing from seed and I got a germination percentage of about 90% (16/19) which im pretty happy about !
I germinated straight in a root riot plug and just kept humidity very high 70+ with a dome( which was probably a stupid idea) now they are day 6 and are looking good just put the root plugs into a bit bigger pots !

what is the ideal conditions for seedlings guys ? right now my babys are enjoying about 70% humidity and 25 celcius ! I will post pictures tonight !

Im a fan of soaking the seeds in water. I do 6-12 hours. 24 hrs can drown seed from what ive seen. I mix ffof or happy frog and some soilless 50:50. Then i wet it down so that its damp but not soaked. Fill those little cups and poke a wee hole for the seed to go. Cover the seeds and put it in the grow room at a perfect 78 degrees - 81 degrees COVERED. Seeds like the dark when germinating so they need to be away from all light. I put mine into cupboards in the room and close the door. Dont even look at them for two days. Then open the door and ta daaaa! 100% or close to it everytime. Youll maybe lose five outta 100 doing it this way and the seeds were probably duds anyway. But if you keep them damp and at the right temp usually three more outta five will eventually pop.

is there really a difference if u do it in the dark or not ? because i put all mine straight under t5's and they did good !

I get my best results using the root riot cubes in a hot house with a temp controlled heat may set at 78°F. Usually 95%+ with good beans within 24 hours, some take a bit longer.

You can soak If you want. But I get better success just planting them and having patience.

Your 70% humid and 25c is pretty much spot on. I try to leave my clones at the early stages around 23c. But 25 is all good if you can't get it down a little.

a dome or cellophane over your cup is not a good idea, seeds have all the moisture they need in the medium you've soaked. Furthurmore in a dome condensation droplets can drop and settle on your cotyledon which can harm the seedling. If you do plan to use a dome or cover them removed dome as soon as you see the seeds pop up.

I tend to just drop them straight into rock wool, no germination issues, but I've tried all methods… soaking in water is great but I feel the same principle is happening in my rock wool cube so in a since speeding things up.
