Give it a little more time until your see the tap extending then carefully drop into the soil.

Should look like this...

everyone has their own little tricks when popping beans. I drop in tap h2o until shell splits and tap root pops out. then into a wet paper towel and into a ziplock baggie set in cupboard above fridge for 2-3 days. not letting paper towel dry out. then into my R/R plugs and into my seed propagator/humidome/heatmat/T8 6500k 24/7.

so hey .. ive been harvesting every 40 days for the past year and a half. i run 12/12 from seed, 2 plants every 30 days. but thats besides the point at the moment. im having a serious issue here. I DONT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK MY PROBLEM IS. im already 2 WEEKS behind now because the seeds ive planted last week AND the seeds i planted the week before ... NONE of them sprouted. they ALL germinated in the glass cup of h20 .. and of course i carefully placed them in my solo cup of 50/50 coco/perlite like i always do, and put them under the 6500k T5 to keep warm like ALWAYS and NOOOOTHING. not one of FOUR each week. so EIGHT seeds wasted. idk wtf im doing wrong man. ive done this every month DOZENS of times. im getting very annoyed~!! ..

so my question to you is could you please REFRESH my memory on ideal conditions for these girls to pop up out of the soil ? ... im guessing that pehaps my issue is the flucuation in temp. for 12hrs its almost 90 (80-90) and then the 12 hours of dark it gets down to almost 65 ..... this is whats fucking me up probably aye ??? do you recommend a heat mat?? should i keep them under the light? if i do the temp will flucuate every 12 hrs. but if i dont .. and they finally sprout in the dark they wont be on the right schedule i feel like .. lol. please help man. im sorrry this was all so long. ..

65 is kinda low for germinating seeds. I grow in my basement, and popped germ'd seeds down there. I used a 6500k t8 24/7, dome, heat mat (with towel between the tray and mat), and left the dome closed. opening 2x daily for misting and fresh air.

imo, your lights off temps are too low. I try for a constant 80* for germinating seeds until at least the first few set of leaves. then the heat mat gets removed, and the vents opened a tad.

thank you so much for your input man. sooo .. your doing the whole humidity dome, heat mat and everything aye? i always figured the dome wasnt really necessary .. but the heat mat i can definitely assume that would help alot .. but im afraid that w the lights .. AND the mat its gonna be WAY too hot. and im not going to be able to "burp" or open the humidity dome a few times throughout the day so.. im worried the humidity will be too high for them to survive ?? what do you think about them 2 issues.

but regardless .. im dropping MORE beans in some water tonight and planting them tuesday morning. ill DEFINITELY try to keep the temps steady around 80 though thank you ... im SOOOO pissed im almost 3 weeks off schedule dude ! UGHH. wtfff

I have tried several techniques and have had the best luck(so far, only on second grow) with soaking the seeds for 12 hours in room temp water then strait into soil, cracked or not. Every plant I did this to has germinated and is growing well! That's 100% success with 4 fem autos and two fem photos. =P

yeah man i hear ya. i do the same method every month. i leave em in a lil longer then 12hrs but i always go straight to soil before 24hrs, whether cracked or not and i usally get a 100% success as well. maybe a 9 outta 10 sometimes but ive always been very successful. im VERY surprised to have failed so hard the past 2 weeks with 8 fucking fem seeds (4 a week .. and a very expensive fail as you know) but i really think its attributed to the major fluctuation in temp ive been having lately day vs night. im not sure but ill try again tuesday and i hope i can get back on track. im REALLY off schedule now and thats going to cost me muccccch mooolah

The water way method seems to work all the time for me but as you can see from the picture above the one on the right has broken soil but there is no sign of the other one as of yet. It's only going to be 3 days since planted in to soil in about 8 1/2 hours time it will be 3 days since planted.

Will this take a few more days maybe?.

I have a 100% germination rate of the seeds themselves with wet paper towel in an open Ziploc usually 24 hours and they all have taproot. I then put them in tiny cups with a very small layer of my dirt on top. Pretty basic. Then I put a Ziploc bag over the cups in 78 degrees...did an experiment last time I germed.. started with 20 seeds 19 showed taproot but the other was hollow so I don't count it against me. Anyway so i took 10 that sprouted and put under a ziploc all sprout. of the other 9 I only had 3 sprout without the humidity dome :(... so I feel its important and I understand I too run a perp grow.. soaking in cups cuts my success rate I always get seed rot and it won't sprout.....also distilled water really let's mildew and other fungi thrive so make sure you use tap,I like the small amounts of chlorine

It doesn't matter. Seeds can have fungus/mold on them from long term storage or the bud its never visually noticeable but if you have a seed container you can smell a little weird funk...but besides that marijuana roots need a lot of oxygen and will quickly drown if submerged like that. That's why people let the seed soak in water to let it penetrate then remove to paper towel to finish.... but the cup is a bad idea I don't know any growers that advocate this method..... the seed simply could have opened first or had a slight opening..some people score their seeds to help water get in.
