Can't you just put the seed straight in soil and keep the soil moist? Wouldn't it be better since you wont cause any stress and root damage when removing form a paper tower?

Yep. Thats the way mother nature does things, so you should do it too. Fuck the paper towel, and pre-germing shit. Its not necessary and not worth it. If you've got good quality seeds they'll break the soil within 3-4 days without risk of damaging your taproot, etc.

Just stick it in the soil, give it a light watering, and mist the top of the soil a good bit if it starts to dry out.

Its nice to see someone using common sense. And if anyone takes offense to that, well Im sorry you for you :)

yeah i dont soak overnight or paper towels

i just put it in some rockwool keep moist and in 3 days 90 percent pop out
