germinating some Herijuana

I once tried to germinate a hybrid of Herijuana and none germed, and I have had three people tell me that they had the same experience with the Herijuana. Any help with germing them would be appreciated. I will have some of Mortabel and some of woodhorse, and they are fairly fresh. My method of soaking until they sink in distilled water and putting in root riots on heat mat set at 75 has been good to me so far. I just put the plugs into a Tupperware container with a couple of holes in the top and cover with a rag for darkness. Thanks DD:hump:

i use the sponge pots that he sent me for free. I have had 100% germ rate with everything he sells. Sometimes they took a long time to break the seeds open.

You got yours form sannies eh? Can you give me the method of germ you you used like temps heat mat, no heat etc. What was average temps for seeds during germ? did it fluctuate at all. Mine are coming from woodhorse so I don't get the spongpots. I will look that up as well. Thank you for your help. Oh, and how long did it take for them all to germ?

Damn, I wanted to see those get big and sparkley. As an ex-addict, I can't wait to grow some herijuana to see if it lives up to it's name :weed:

Did they restock regular herijuana IBL? Have not seen that available over a year now.

They come from woodhorse. The germ problem is the outer shell. I have found that some growers actually sand the seam of the shell. I tried that and got zip. I tried soaking and then seed soil and got zip. This time I am thinking of using speed sprout, but even though it is made for hard seeds I think I will only try 5 and see how it goes. I had someone tell me they tried liquid karma and it worked well on everything but the Heri. Heri is one tough girl to crack, but one person here did it. I am going to keep trying to reach him to see what he did.

are sponge pots and root riots the same thing? I didn't get mine from sannie, so I don't have the sponge pots or the fert he sends with it. I think the fert he uses is similar to liquid karma, or am I wong? I have had great success using a plastic bag on a heating mat and using root riots and seed soil, but the heri and the mountainberry hybrid beat me silly. I am tempted to order the sponge pot set up just to be safe.

Have you tried the paper towel method?

Edit: Judging by your post times, I'd assume you're from Europe just as I am. Most of the people on here are the other side of the Atlantic so naturally, won't post until evening/night time in Europe.

Hi, yes sannies. Sponge pot the same as riot cubes and there are a couple other brands. I soak the seed in water for 24 hours, then plant in sponge pot in damp soil. I put my t5 a couple inches fron the sponge pot so it is warm. A couple days later the little girls pop out. This seems to work great for me. Good luck getting your seeds to germ, and I can't recommend sannies enough.

I was gifted some HeriJ seeds that are about 10 years old :/
a 5 pack of 3 little birds
& a 5 pack of the MotaRebel

I always germinate the same way
in a small cup of distilled water
in a dark cupboard until a root pops out
then plant in soil
with fresh seeds I typically have a 100% germination rate

with the 3LB pack 3 out of 5 germinated, one of which was female
When I ran her against the local cut I have I found no noticeable differences

I have yet to start the MotaRebel pack but will before its too late

Btw she has a very pungent hashy smell and taste
& a unique body high

yes once and it worked, but not on the Heri. I think I will use a dome, root riots, and soak em till they drop. I don't know how old seeds are, but when I soak em I will be able to tell. If they take more than about 10 hours to drop they are usually about 8 months or so old. If they take 16 hours to drop they are close to a year old. I have never seen anything so hard to germ and I hope these turn out. I live in the desert of the U.S. next to Death Valley.
