Germinating in rockwool? seed dead?

Ok so I'm new to DWC, trying 5gal bucket technique for now.

This is one of my first time using rockwool. I germinated 1 fem AI with the paper towell method over night for 1 night on the 1st, then with sanitized tweezers moved the seed to the rockwool. I'm using 24 hours of CFL light to start seedling. Now its the 5th and no seedling. I read however about pH being off in select rockwool cubes. Is my seed dead? should i give it more time?

Also I used a grodan rockwool cube, if that helps.

sometimes the seed can take longer to sprout. i have had "some" seeds take amost 10 days to sprout out while others sprouted in 2 days. Make sure you soak your rockwool for like 24 hours with phed water before using it and then water it with phed water. the seed doesnt need light untill it sprouts either. what i do it use a paper towel until i see the tap root and then move into some rockwool in a cool dark place and check it every 12 to 24 hours. once i see a sprout i turn some lights on.

also it depends on how deep you put the seed in. put it in like 1/2 inch, thats all you need. if you put it in deep it will take awhile to sprout. make sure you rip a little piece of rockwoll and use it to cover the hole on the top to prevent light getting to the seed, very lightly cover the hole with a piece of rockwool so the seed can easily push through it but also have pure darkness. i hope this helps.

Or just use Rapid Rooter plugs next time.
No ph issue to worry about
Wet plug with ph'd water.
Flip plug upside down, unless you have a tray. I like to free-stand them. For some reason the top is wider than the bottom.
Make a hole, in what's now the new top, with a pencil.
Drop seed in NO MORE than twice as deep as the seeds width.
Keep plug moist with just a FEW drops of water or set in net basket surrounded by hydroton w/ at least an inch or 2 of hydroton underneath the plug.
Let the net pot drop about an 1/4 inch into your BUBBLING nute solution and in about 5 - 7 days AFTER the seed sheds its "helmet" you will see roots.
