Genetics n Shit

Here is my question. Is the sex of your plant predetermined before it even starts to grow? Like is it already a male or female while it's still a seed? I know they have 100% feminized seeds n shit but if left up to nature, are there male or female seeds? Is there anything you can do to make sure your plant will be a female?

from what ive heard they are pre-determined. but i also read that feminized seeds use to be called female seeds... but they changed the name because people were getting herms etc.. if feminized seeds are stressed or what have you, it can affect your out come of the plant... as far as bag seed im pretty sure that it is determined by day 1... could be wrong

i have seen threads tho that are way to increase your fem to male ratio... again i dont know if that is Bs or truth..

so if stress is a factor in turning females to herms... could u stress a male to make it herm? haha seems stupid i kno
