General Organics Talk

Look, I may not be an expert on coco, or organics. But I have done enough research to know coco specific nutes are a fucking sham and completely unnecessary. If you disagree, thats fine, but instead of being a prick, maybe you should just prove your point with some real evidence.

Never come to a battle of wits unarmed. ;)
Look, ask yourself this question. If a company who is in business selling nutrients, and relies on said nutrient sales to survive, why would they go out of their way to tell you NOT to use many of their products if you're growing in coco? There is a reason, and it's not so that they can sell coco specific nutes. I didn't start with the mud slinging that you seem to thoroughly enjoy, that was you. You can leave the insults at the door this time. These are things that I know to be true, and I wouldn't waste my (valuble) time on this back and forth otherwise.

I don't want some noob coming on here, reading your replies and following your advise to bad results. Plants grown in coco have specific nutrient needs that are different than their soil counterparts. That's it, cut and dry, very simple. And with that, I'm really done here. I've said my piece, several times. You continue to hurl insults, but where is your evidence? I'm betting you're young...

LOL OMG, you must have a mental handicap or reading disability. I started with mud slinging? I think anyone who reads at a 5th grade level can go back to the previous pages and see the truth.

I posted up hard facts, you posted up bullshit.

"Coco has specific nutrient requirements" Yet you have no fucking idea what they are....You just figure as much because you are aware that there are coco specific nutrients on the market. So hey it must be true that they need specific ratios right?

You keep talking about these products that say NOT to be used in coco yet you have not shown me a single one...So stop beating that dead horse until you can prove it.

The only one giving bad advice here is you. Since all you know is what you read on the back of a bottle of coco nutes. lol

And with that, I leave you a picture of some healthy young ssk being grown in coco on iguana juice and ca-mg+. Boy they look hurting huh? Should I run out and buy some canna coco? lmao

I've used it for about two years now with great results. Assuming you're in soil, don't adjust the pH, just run it as is.

I use 80% ro water, 20% well water (my tap). I don't pH whatsoever, you're actually advised not to with this line. It doesn't get any easier, and it works very well. If you have city water, just make sure you know whether your city uses chlorine or chloramine. If it's the former, you can just let the water set out for a few days in an open container and the chlorine will evap off. If it's the latter, you need to get some type of filtering system with a chloramine filter.

you cant really make a R/o system..I mean its possible but you wouldn't want to... way way easier to just buy 1...Lowe's sells them and so do Hydro stores for cheap under $300

And i would go to The attitude seedbank for seeds..they are way cheaper than alot of other places and for a price they offer guaranteed shipping,,plus with every order they give you free beans,cant beat it ^_^

personally i dont like using RO water simply because its a ploy to get you to buy a Cal/Mag supplement..when all you really need to do is get rid of the Chlorine and if you live in certain areas you might have "chloramine" in your water as well which they sell filters for to remove...I have a Small Boy system with the chloramine/Chlorine filter on it...my water already has a decent amount of Cal/Mag iron and some other trace minerals..I still supplement with Cal/Mag+ when i see DEF starting to occour but thats really rare.

personally those PH test strip kits give a general Idea of the PH i wouldn't use them for accuracy..they sell Digital ones for about $35 mind you they are basic as hell and dont have a automatic temperature compensation adjuster in them..But they will get the job done as long as ur water temp stays within a certain range if im not mistaken i believe its 72-78 F. i cant remember exactly but the temperature of the water throws off digital pens unless they have an ATC adjuster in them...just make sure your water is room temperature n you should get a correct reading if you are using a pen without ATC

BEEN USING THIS LINE AND I LOVE IT... i dont separate them all in diffrent mixing containers though... i put some 1/4-1/3 full water in my 5 gal bucket and mix according to heavy feeding schedule for how many gallons i plan on using... take to my 55 gallon res and dilute accordingly.. (P.S. i have never had to fil up my 55 gallon drum all the way... i dont need that much all leftovers are siphoned out and given to my outdoor garden.. mymaters love it too)

I have been using this line for almost a year now and absolutely love it. As a beginner I used this line with tap water straight from the sink and literally applying nutrients straight into the pot by eye using the cap and still had pretty decent results. I have changed my methods as ive become more experienced and seen how the plants have responded and I now run this schedule:

VEG:
In a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket I have an airstone bubbling my tap water for 24 hours and then I add;
4 capfulls of Grow
A capful of liquid seaweed
5 drops of superthrive
1 capful of Diamond Black
1 tsp of molasses (begin adding after the first 2 weeks of veg)

Flower:
In a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket I have an airstone bubbling my tap water for 24 hours and then I add;
5 drops of superthrive (first week-2 weeks only)
4 capfulls of Grow (remove 1 capful every 2 weeks until the end of flower)
4 capfulls of Bloom
1 capful of Diamond Black
1 capful of Liquid Seaweed
2 capfuls of Camg
eyeball 2 tsp of molasses (up the amount to 3 tsp during the last 3 weeks)

I found that removing the chlorine from the water ISN'T necessary but I notice my plants are much more sensitive to any stress if watered with chlorinated water and therefore you have to baby them more, with the method above my plants are vigorous :leaf: After brewing and before watering I ph the tea to 6.5 which as mentioned before you DON'T have to but once again this makes my babies stronger and less susceptible to deficiencies.

I noticed someone mentioned earlier in the thread not to bubble this organic line, I say DEFINITELY bubble, all 8 of my strains love this method.
