O so I just put my plants into flower and during the veg cycle all I used was flora nova grow. I just recently bought a bunch more stuff and was wonder how I should feed them! I looked at there chart but have seen that other people use them differently. Any advice and ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also when to use each one! Thanks

Florablend
Floranova grow
Floranova bloom
Floralicious plus
Floranectar
Liquid koolbloom

I'm actually doing the same thing but still in veg, I emailed them for a nova expert schedule and they said it will be up in june.

he did say, just use the additives as they say on the bottle and should be fine, I say always at least half for test on plants

I'm using:

CaMg+
Nova grow
Nova bloom
Flora nectar
Diamond nectar
Liquid kool bloom
And thinking of grabbing floralicious plus

Definitely get the Micro and Bloom going. I think it is suggested to use equal parts the first week in what I think is called Transition.

What are you growing in? I found that my rdwc doesn't like the Floricous as it's organic and I have some slime problems that thrive off of that stuff.

go to general hydroponics .com if you dont know much about it dont try to tweak your formula yet go to the nutrient calculator and follow strictly

Yeah my plants in soil love the stuff. I use my own Compost Tea in the hydro. Some people have no problem with it in either.

As far as when to change, I am following others' advice and using the Keep It Simple schedule for hydro.

In hydro all you really need are the

Floranova Grow
Floranova Bloom
Calmag+

Use the grow during veg, then transition to Bloom when you move to flower. If you're using distilled (RO) water then you'll want to supplement with 1-2ml calmag+ per gallon.

The other stuff is just additives that you don't really need, especially when you're using floranova. That stuff is just super complete, trust me, you'll never see healthier plants than when you use the Floranova line.

so your saying its common to have mag problems with the nova series? cause ive been fighting nutrient burns for my whole grow and even when its doing great it always starts burning.. so any more info on ppm threw your grows with the product and more info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Before I get into a detailed diatribe, can you give some more info on your situation? How old are the plants? What is your PPM? And what are your symptoms? An MG deficiency can look like a little bit like nute burn but it starts with the lower leaves and works it's way up the plant.

Here's a nice pic I found that shows several stages of MG Def:

If you're sure it's not that and it's burn, then just pull it back a bit. I start out with plain water for the first week, and then start out with 50-100 ppm (according to the mixing instructions on the back of the bottle) in week 2, that's really all they need at that early stage. After that I very carefully ratchet up the concentrations a week at a time, but I've found that I never go over 1000 PPM. In fact my last batch never took more than 800-900 or so, some of them started to burn after that.

I will say that the concentrations recommended on the bottle are too aggressive for nearly all MJ strains, IMHO.

Yeah its just 1 plant for now i mean i have another from this one but its still in veg to be a mother. so its 3ft 5 tall mosty sativa i believe and ive got it under a 400 w hps that its had starting from flower. but i have it around 800 ppm right now cause 900 to a thousand could be what has caused this but the top foilage is fried from the light but i think the rest of my plant is the result of something else because it was all green for alot of the begining of flower. It always comes on very speckley like it doesnt ever just burn for awhile it always just gets speckles slowly and then just crazy. anyways heres some pics its almost 6 weeks into flower when should i flush or can i for as bad as i fucked it up? so the first pic of buds is older than the rest and the aluminum isnt for any purpose other than to block light cause mold or something was growing on my exposed rockwool (rook mistake obviously put it under the hydroton clay lol) but thx for taking time to help out a rookie..

I was using nova grow and it work really good. I was using it in hydro, but I think it was made for soil. I am going try aqua flakes a&b for bloom. it has really good reviews and its for hydro.

i used nova grow and bloom for a long time and what i have found about them is that they can be lacking in the Mg department, i always ran my grow very high to make this a bit better. i have recently switched to flora bloom and micro and works wonders. all the additives are crazy i use the micro and bloom at 8-16 ml per gal (lucas formula) and in weeks 5 and 6 i run a healthy dose of liquid kool bloom for a good P-K spike when flowering is in full swing, all the rest imo are just to much. practice good base nutes (find your plants happy medium) and a good P-K spike (liquid kool bloom 0-10-10) and you will be set.

they are good nutes (nova grow/bloom) just got to figure them out experiment, what i can tell you is they are part organic so its VERY hard to over fert using them believe me i have ran my plants at well over 2000 ppm with these nutes dont be afraid to boost them if your running them low you are definitely going to want to up the dose.

Looking at your pics, my best guess is a slight MG def but it's hard to be sure. I wouldn't flush, just change out your rez at normal strength at most. I've always felt like going from 800 ppm to 0 for a day or three is worse for the plants than the damage most people are trying to correct for.

Dudes, how often are you guys soaking your plants during late flower stage? I am dunking every 4 hours...should I do more or less cause I'm using dry Koolbloom...I am not using full-strength, but I do want to maximize my yield before flushing...any thoughts? This shite is definitely dank now dudes...but I want big buddz...

Thank in advance for all your professional insight...

Later...
