Gender, Root Bound, Limited Space

I have 5 germinated sprouts but only 2 spaces setup to grow a plant. I'm about to put these sprouts in solo cups. I don't want these to get root bound before I can determine the gender and I don't have room for 5 full sized pots. And, I won't be able to determine the gender until the flowering phase.
So how do I deal with this issue? Use intermediate pots until the flowering phase? Any suggestions?

Use intermediate pots
Yes.
Hopefully they'll start to show sex before flowering and you can select the best two.
You'll want to transplant to the full sized pots a couple of week before flowering so the roots can fill in properly.

good luck

2 gallon pots will hold the plants til they show sex without getting root bound..

Thank you. But I thought they only reveled the sex once you cut the lights back to 12 hours to initiate the Flowering phase. Not true?

Plants will show sex earlier if you let them get slightly root bound.
You beat me to it. Like he said, let them get slightly root bound and they’ll show sex a bit sooner. As soon as they show you can up pot the keepers and they’ll recover in no time.
