And no this is not one of those boycott things ... I'm tired of being ripped off by these asshole elite ... want to put the hurt on them? ... it's very simple ... everyone can do it .... how you ask? ... or not ... conserve fuel ... anyway and every way you can ... we went from $1.36 in Nov. to $2.80 today and climbing.
When I have to drive on the freeway I set my cruise to 55MPH ... everyone pass me so I don't have to slow down or speed up ... I rarely pass anyone until I hit the big city. I save a lot of fuel driving this way ... I just smoke a nice number ... play some great tunes ... and enjoy the scenery ... I could make a round trip to the city ... 65 miles one way ... with 7 gals driving like everyone else ... now I can do it with 4.5 gals. I couldn't believe how much I saved ... It takes me 15 min. longer to reach my destination ... but I'll take the extra time over the fuel saved any day. I also shut off my engine at long lights ... trains and drive through ... I no longer just run to the store ... as little as 2 miles as many as 22 miles away ... I plan my trips and get supplies ... when I can ... not just one item ... so ... that's it ... you can stick it to these greedy assholes ... and that's what this is greed ... by cutting down on demand. This is one thing we should all stick together on ... it's for our own mutual benefit. You will notice those people that pass you on the freeway ... you pass when they stop for fuel ... to feed their elite masters.

So ... what's it going to be? Keep paying through the nose ... or fighting back? Talk among yourselves. :peace::joint:

the prices have nothing to do with the supply, using less will not make a big impact on pump prices. Oil is priced in dollars and US dollars only, WORLDWIDE. Thats why the US dollar is the worlds reserve currency. The dollars value is falling http://quotes.ino.com/chart/?s=NYBOT_DX&v=dmax
when the dollar is worth less things that are priced in it will rise. Did you know that HUGE corporations can hire multiple tankers to load up with billions of barrels of oil and just sit off shore for months and months and drive the price of oil to new highs? Don't bet that they aren't doing that. Oil is probably the most important /cheapest energy source currently available to everyone. It is running out, peak oil fans say 2008 was the High year for production and its all down hill from here. 50% of the population would cease to exist without oil, 85% of all fertilizer is made from OIL.There are 3 things you can bet on that will only be worth more in the future, Gold, Silver and Oil.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Oil at $90/bbl silver at $30/ounce and gold at $1300/ounce by years end.

I Do like that you saved that much fuel and only sacrificed 15 minutes, just goes to show that a fast paced life really takes a toll on peoples life AND checkbook.

An interesting book detailing the decline of oil production and what may happen is The Long Emergency written by James Howard Kunstler. If his assumptions and data are correct life will be very different in the relatively near future.

it looks like obama is having a hard time nationalizing imported fuel..he could solve this problem if he wanted too..but the dems and him are hell bent on communism with them in charge of the gullogs ..
i bet you are wondering why the fuel costs are going up when demand is going down arnt you?
well we just lost another 532K jobs last month..they are painting it as a wonderfull thing.LOL we didnt lose 700K so we are doing good..its slowing down.LOL
it is THE DEMOCRATICS AND OBAMA WHO ARE CAUSING FUEL PRICES TO DO UP ..it is called inflation.it is caused from printing money.
if you want to blame someone.. blame obama.are you having any buyers remorse yet? your cig tax's have went up since you elected him.your alcohol tax. soon to be your soda pop tax .. and a national sales tax. he is wanting to double and triple tax company that do bussiness over seas. microsoft said if that bill pass's they are taking operations over seas.
the american economy is having a mass exodus of companys right now..why you might ask?
they will either leave or have the government take over their company in bankruptcys because they cant afford to do bussiness here and compete on the world markets.
:dunce:you will figure it out in 6 months to one year.

the price of GAS OR OIL HAS NOTING TO DO WITH SUPPLY DEMAND AT THIS TIME.IT HAS TO DO WITH YOUR CURRENCY BEING JUNKED BY A OBAMA PRINTING PRESS..

Bush was in office & the gas was almost $5 a gallon...we get his ass out of office within 3 months after he booted.... gas is under $2 a gallon.....explain that!!

It took 8 years of Bush to get gas prices from $2 to $5 a gallon and only 3 - 4 months after Obama was elected the prices were lowered $3 a gallon less??? Gass droped $1 a month for 3 months and was at a lower price than before Bush took office!!!

Bush gave americans a rebate check (billions of dollars) and the economy is in a ressession/depression....what the fuck was he thinking

The price of gas is regulated by commodities traders, wall street assholes that make their money off the backs of every American that drives a gasoline vehicle, without contributing one positive thing to the discovery, production, refinement, delivery, or retailing of gasoline. These leeches are the scourge of America, punishing us because of their greed. Without these scumbags, Gas prices would find a level and be somewhere in the 1.50-2.00 a gallon range.

BTW Grow, what kind of gas hog do you drive, 14.4 MPG on a highway @ 55 MPH is pretty bad. My 6,000 lb truck will pull down 21 MPG @ 55 on the highway

Its not as if Obama had anything to do with lowering gas prices...the collapse of the housing bubbles caused the drop in oil prices.

The tax rebate was an attempt to stimulate the economy...and you complain about billions, yet obama has already spent TRILLIONS

If not for the greedy leeches gas would be between $1 - 1.50 a gallon ... that's the way it was before the bush regime took office ... you didn't hear a peep from the bushwhacks when bush was driving the price of gas to $5 a gallon ... and creating a trillion dollar debt. Obama pulling the same shit and NOW they scream ... what hypocrites

I don't know where you get the 14.4 mpg ... @55 ... I get about 29mpg in my light truck and 34mpg in my car @55 on the highway.

Don't you guy remember when they said the price drop because demand was down. I still think we could stick it to them. I detest buying gas now ... so I will continue to conserve as much as possible.

agreed. I was suprised to find out how little the USA actually plays a part in the price. I found this site check it out. pretty good info

http://worldgasprices.org/

sumed up basically it says....The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is a group of twelve states made up of Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Libya, Algeria, Nigeria, Angola, Venezuela and Ecuador.

so i guess the real culprits are opec and our only defense is too lower consumption!!!! LOL
oh well the good guys get screwed again.....

The US govt. can easily alleviate the energy prices. They CHOOSE not to. Their political goals do not match our economic needs.

I DONT THINK MANY PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT the US has oil reserves in shell oil that would make all of those countrys combined oil reserve pale in comparison.we have WAY more oil than we need..and the government will not allow private companys to extract it. some of it is because of the greenies..most of it is because of POWER.

We already know certain assholes in the government and the oil companies are jacking up the price ... the question is what can WE do about it ... I say ... dish out as little doe as possible to the asswipes ... travel less ... conserve fuel like there is no tomorrow.:leaf:

This is a very common misconception. The oil companies and the US govt. do not MAKE the prices, they TAKE the prices given them. They do not set the prices.

The Govt. does pile on loads and loads of taxes, so in that sense they do jack the price, but they don't set the price.

What to do about it? Go domestic and keep it in house. Oil will be around for decades to come, maybe longer. Who here thinks the Russians will be kinder to the environment than the US? Honestly, it is going to be supplied anyways, so we are the best chance at protecting the GLOBAL environment.

Gas Prices have little if anything to do with the Government. It's commodities traders and wall street that drive those prices up.
When the Energy Bubble Burst (which I predicted) The prices dropped over night. This is because the price of a barrel of oil dropped from $120.00 to around $32.00 a barrel. Right now the price for a barrel of oil is at $68.44 a BBL and is predicted to top out at around $90.00 a BBL.
