Garden heat problems

Are your plants even experiencing heat stress? Looking at the plants, maybe they have minor heat stress but I don't see much. They all look good. Also all of those wall mounted fans generate heat. Do you have an inline exhausting that entire room? If so, try removing all of the wall mounted fans because all they are doing is generating heat and the blowing it around. Each one of them! When I removed the wall mounted fans my temps dropped by 2F... I was perplexed but it makes sense.. Each one of those fans has a motor that generates energy in the form of heat., then it blows the heat around..

Just figured Id throw this out there since you're looking for suggestions...

what would you recommend for circulation fans suitcase? im using a 5x3 room with 1000 watt steady temps at 75.. was going to put a tower fan in the corner and get a wall mount fan.. but i read you say they generate heat so what would you recommend?

Do you have a separate exhaust?
A high located exhaust with a low intake would help pull in cool air from floor level and blow out the warmer rising air.
I agree though and don't see much heat stress.
As long as you don't get up over 90, and keep air moving with low RH, I don't see a problem.

Start using added CO2 so plants benefit from those higher temps. You have cool tubes, tons of ventilation and about the right cfm for exhaust for that size of room so your next and only option is a grow room specific a/c unit as The Growery said. You could try more cfm exhaust and replace that god awful mylar with panda or white paint.

You mention no a/c so invest in CO2 tank, regulator, timers and ect because there are no other options.

I was running at about the same for at least 2 months with no ill effects. Temp would be 88-92. This was from a 600w mh, 4ft 4 tube t5 fixture and 4 small cfls at 23w a piece. Im in a 5x5 area. I was forced to remove the t5's and cfls for space and my temp dropped to 74-80.

I dont use circulation fans anymore. Just exhaust through an inline with a passive intake... If you are pulling through a passive intake it will create a wind tunnel effect which allows for plenty of circulation of c02 and enough movement for strong stems. If you are steady at 75, why do anything? Thats a perfect environment. Bend, twist, and pinch the stems if you need to fatten them up. You should be doing that anyhow...

You might have to try it to believe it, but try putting your oscillating fans on a timer at like 15min on, 45min off.
Circulation fans are mainly needed to combat fungus etc. and to build up some strength, so you don't really need them on constantly.
Plus they keep a lot of the heat in the grow space because they are constantly blowing hot air about.
If i come home and its too hot, 1st thing I do is turn off my oscillating fan.

Your grow seems a bit big for this, but it does tie in to what Rancho Cucamonga suggested.
A good way I get C02 in my medium sized grow cab is with 'Dry Ice'.
With a bit of water, it sits in a saucer between my intake and circulation fan and the CO2 it releases gets blown onto the plants.
I know this is not ideal as I can't know my PPM's and all that, but it's doing no harm :) and best of all, it cools my cab within minutes by a degree or 2 depending if i got 400w or 600w.
You can get Dry Ice by the Kilo and it's not that expensive if you shop around, having said that I only do this if it's a hot day or I want to treat the girls. lol

Good luck,
Zip.

The intake to the room is pulling air from the outside. It's now march during the day it puts the room at 91 or so. Night it brings it down to 85.
It's only going to get warmer once summer comes.

I would supply cO2 but the room isn't sealed.. I have an intake and exhaust fan.
I'm thinking of just investing in an AC that sits outside the room.

Moving all fans to exhaust help..intake is passive???? Don't know as thats HUGE compared to me.

yea i scrog them so plenty of bending but i still run a small fan as well.. also set up with passive intake..

hay dude.! i have see your garden. you have very beautiful garden.
And in my point of view you must have to increase your wall fan quantity and also your exhausts. And i hope you will get the cool atmosphere in your garden.
Thanks.

op, not sure if you solved this yet. im running into a heat issue myself. I bought an 18" oscillating fan, modified it, hung it from the ceiling and have it full speed blowing across the under side of my cool tube. I dropped 3*. I also turned my dimmable ballast to 75%. ill end up buying a portable a/c unit. I found one for 236, 8000btu, timer controlled, and a small foot print. about the size of one plant in 3 gal pot. so instead of my 7 plant flower, ill only have 6. I have 2 420 cfm fans, one for intake and exhaust. also running ac tube with 440 cfm fan. gonna try thr turning off circulation fans and see if I can run 100% and keep temps below or at 80/81. I didn't realize the hps bulb burned soooooo much hotter than the mh bulb. I run a consistant 77* in veg tent.
