G13 Labs C99 would not germinate

I bought a bunch of seeds last year from Midweek Song (highly recommended). All of the seeds I bought popped and were great grows aside from a random freebie I got. That being said, not a single one of the 5 seeds in the c99 pack would even pop and give me some taproot to work with.

How much time do you guys typically give your seeds to pop? I've done straight into soil, cup of water for a day until they sink, and paper towel method which is my most successful way to germinate. I gave these seeds about 4 days in the paper towel and all they did was get darker, not even a crack! I'm not sure if I should be letting them go longer or if this was a shit pack of seeds.

old seeds can be hard to pop and if they have been through an x-ray or gotten hot that can can kill them. fulvic/humic acid, kelp extract and silica can help pop older seeds.

All my g13 c99s cracked 24 hours in wet paper towels. There a really nice strain to grow. Crossing mine with Tahoe og male.

Old seeds can be very tough and require patience. If you have any more, I would scarify and soak in water in a dark place until they pop and show a tap root. Then transfer to your medium. If you get any that push up with the seed casing attached, don't be afraid to gently remove it.

what were your temps I found temps over 75 degraded the results . I keep it about 70f perfect . this is my opinion im sure there are a lot of others .

70-75 degrees. I tried the scarification technique as well on the last seed and didn't get shit out of it either.

I gave up on them 2 days ago, and immediately got out an OG kush and bubblegum44 seed and got taproots within 36 hours. These seeds were just DOA. Very disappointed but will continue to use Midweek Song due to my great past results with them.

I tried to contact Lewis since the customer support is normally good but I he never replied back to me on the matter. Oh well. Ya win some ya lose some

I just don't have the patience for that haha that's a good bit of veg! Plus if I have other seeds popping I don't want to be so far behind waiting on a runt in the bunch to pop.

Haha.good point. Aurora indica is properly the fastest to crack in about 8 hours . good smelly strain. The worst for me was chem 4 og. Think they were a bad batch. I also germinate seeds in pots outdoors in razor grass . roos and wallaby's know how sharp razor grass is haha

I have no experience with g13 C99 but I have a few in the vault. Honestly I wasn't going to grow them out because of very poor reviews on several forums. I'm growing a G13 Mozzarella at the moment which is very nice.
Female seeds C99 is supposed to be very good and the Grimm Bros. have somehow resurrected their original.
Anyway sorry about the germ prob but maybe it's just made room for something better.

I got some Motarebel "Candy Princess" C99 x Lung Candy freebies with my last seed purchase. I germed all 3, 2 failed to crack after 6 days I tossed them. I even tried scuffing them really good after a few days and nothing. The 3rd broke ground but then died soon after. It looked like it severed itself from the rest of the roots just below the soil. Could have been the heat though (84-90F).

Its a real bummer when a whole pack of seeds don't crack. Thats like 55 bucks! WHO THE HECK HAS GOT THAT KINDA MONEY

I got shitty results with the g13 c99 let two sit in water for 24 hours then put in rapid rooter with dome floating tray and heat mat...after seven days i dug them up and seen some tap root but it seemed to stop making progression so i tryed planting one more c99 in straight rapid rooter no water i checked that one today and seen a tap root hopefuly within a few days I should see life if not bummed out because all the other seeds I planted sprouted (purple haze and pineapple express 2

You're not missing much anyway. I just finished G13's version of C99 and it's not that great. I got mine as freebies from tude and I've learned that you really have to give their seeds the squeeze test before trying to germ. From G13 I had 4 of 9 that were hollow.

Rapid Rooters are the best way to germ for me.

how long from seed to harvest did it take ? how was the yeild?

Vegged for 2 months, flowered for 59 days and yielded 78 grams dry. Smoke isn't bad but it's nothing like the Female seeds c99 I ran back in 2009. The G13 version is more indica dominant and puts out tight buds and a bigger yield but the smoke is just bland.

BTW if any of you guys like big fruity strains that yield you should check out Bomb seeds Bubble Bomb and Cherry Bomb. I just finished several and every pheno was great, I'm having a hell of a time deciding which to keep, haha!

17 days?!
wow, you have more patience than I do, I've never seen a seed pop past a week.
hell, seems like all the Bodhi seeds I've been cracking have oystered in less than ten hours
no joke
pineapple hashplant, pink lotus, trainwreck x snowlotus freebie, tranquil elephant, dank zappa
all oystered in less than 12 hours when soaking in warm water.
