Guys do you know where the air supply comes from when I set my houses thermometer to Fan On mode? Does it pull the air from the basement? Or outside?

from your air return. its the grill located centrally that sucks air in. it sucks air into the furnace exchanger and out through the vents. when you turn fan on, no fire, just the fan running.

so If I wanted to get my hot basement air to heat up my house, venting it into the furnace room and putting the furnace on fan mode wouldnt help right?

If that is where your furnace intake is, then yes. You probably have more than one intake though, so it would draw air in from all intakes.
