Funkadelic, anyone?

Ok, just a quick Hi-jack......
Was in San Fran partying between Christmas and New Years one year tripping and dancing my ass off at 3 Kimock shows at the Great American with an Oakland Coliseum show planned for New Years Eve with Kimock opening up for P-Funk opening up for the Other Ones. Was looking forward to this week for awhile but was unsure about the P-Funk set being a Jam Band/Dead Head guy. Being my 4th show in 5 nights I decided to eat a 10 strip AND some pharmaceutical Extacy and headed into the Coliseum which had just been remodeled.
Enjoyed the Kimock set while the drugs kicked in. By the time his set was over, I was there again, high as a kite. Decided I would just take a walk and check out the New Coliseum as P-funk took the stage as I waited for the Other Ones to hit the stage.
1 song into their set and I was absolutely hooked. Man did their funk grab my buzz by the balls and didn't let go for over 2 hours. I never danced so hard in my life and that is saying something. I had people coming up to me during the set break to tell me that I entertained an entire section of folks.
Acid + Extacy + Funk = Great Fucking Time!

hahahaha i can imagine a whole group in the upper sections lookin down at you dancin your ass off.
at a styx concert one time, this old hippy guy next to us was trippin on acid and dancin the whole time. we even sang with him

I was walking in the concorse and walked through the walkway into the arena and stopped at the landing were the usher was ans just started to boogie. Female black usher loved it and everyone in the adjacent sections were sitting down. There was over 20 musicians and another 100 people on stage dancing at that set. 3 people playing the bass one being Bootsey. I don't remember them taking a break between songs. 2+ hours of straight the fuck up Funk.
I almost fell asleep during the Other Ones set. It was boring by comparison.
