Fungus Gnats noticed after switching to 12/12 for 3 days ok to go back to veg?

Start this off by saying my first indoor grow. and my first time dealing with gnats. I use fox farm soils in all but 4 pots. I had some left over shitty fertillized soil (MG wanna be stuff) that i used in 4 pots. 3 of those have holes in the top leaves. small but the have been eaten. I caught a few in the sticky fly strips and they are fungus gnats. Identified on the internet like 90 million times to be sure that they weren't root aphids.

Now the main question is I have just switched to 12/12 for sog, plants are about 8-12 inches tall, & i need to know if I can put them back into veg without having the stress that u get when sexing and reverting to veg? Only reason I ask is the healthiest plants are infected yet, and i want a mom. Otherwise I was thinking I could throw out the crap soil plants and see what I got left.

Just dont want to degrade the strain from stressing flowering then back to veg.

Ty ahead of time for any response

EDIT: I keep hearing I should look at root balls for Aphids but how do u do that in soil? Just dig up a bit?

All I can say is I had gnats and GoGnats KICKED ASS! After the first use I saw zero flying lil' effers. I added 1/4 tsp into 2 gallons of water for a feeding. I followed that up now with 3 sprays on the outside of my airpots, to get all the lil' holes....and I also spray the actual plants to kill any lil' camping buggers. Good luck.

If you're in soil you are gonna have to do a "soil drench" with products such as Azamax, Gnatrol, or Gognats like the poster above said. I dont reccomend Gognats for hydro users, its cedar oil and can kill your whole crop so be careful with it. With Azamax and Gnatrol you just basically follow instructions and soil drench a couple times a week and then hang sticky yellow traps up to catch any flying adults. Or you can keep it all organic and do a soil drench with predatory nematodes, lady bugs also like to eat gnat larvae.

I had a horrible time with air pots and gnats those fuckers like to creep in and out of the holes making them super hard to get rid of, I went back to smart pots.

I doubt 1 will do shit you need at least 20 of them. Yeah you could soil drench in flower. You can even use Dr. Doom grenades in flower up to a certain week. Dont harsh your mellow about fungus gnats so much they are more of a nuisance then crop destroyer, put it to you this way dont sweat it too much unless you can shake your trees and you have dead gnats pile up on your forearm, but definitely try and get rid of them. The flying gnats are annoying its the damn larvae that feeds on roots sticky traps and try a soil drench with Azamax, gnatrol or gognats...

TY for the info I use airpots kinda wondered the same thing. I been soil drenching with neem til i can get to the hydro store(over 1.5 hrs away) to get gognats.

so i hanged two old school 1985 fly trap strips in my room overnight. Like a couple flyers left. Also did a neem soil soak at lights out and it seems to be helping lot less bugs. still wanna try the cedar oil I hate gnats.

Yeah gnats are attracted to the color yellow and that vinegar shit. They can definitely be crop destroyers if you let them get that bad but if you can keep them to a minimum you are going to be okay hang those yellow sticky traps up high so you dont get any gnats in your sticky buds they will land on yoru buds get caught in the sticky icky and die there, another thing is to buy those Hot Shot No Pest Strips from any hardware store. Yeah your dish soap will get rid of the adults but they have larvea buried in your soil so they will come back. I have gotten rid of them by using Gnatrol drench and a couple times I used predatory nematodes ( a ring worm that munches on the larvae)

Hydro grow stores sell the yellow sticky traps. If you arent near one try and find a yellow sticky trap from your local hardware store, gnats will be attracted to the color yellow, I know what you mean my dude I was picking dead gnats out of my buds come harvest. Yeah your h202 drench probably killed off a lot of the larvae I would follow up with oone more. for instance my gnatrol directions are 2 tsp per gallon of water 2 times per week.

Oh yeah when I harvested I found a few stuck in the buds, they were really hard to find in the lavender since the buds are purple a black dot is almost impossible to see. I just plucked them out as I harvested if you hang some yellow sticky traps up high they will land on them before buds. Also you can turn the fans up a bit, bugs cant fly in high winds thats why they put those big ass blowers on cafeteria doors.

I take the sticky traps and cut them into twos, something else I did was take the sticky trap and rub the lower part of the stalk because the juvenile gnats were crawling up my stalk.
