My auto hindu seedling got infested with fungus gnats, its pretty bad counted around 15 adults flying around (can't see in pic). I don't see no larvae or nothing. I watered it until 20% run off only twice in a week, how did this happen? What do I do, transplant (dig up seedling) or treat? And how do I properly water considering the size of pot? She's only 5 days.
Fungus gnats don't even worry me anymore. Get some neem oil mix a TSP and a couple drops of non scented dish soap and some water. Use it for a foliar. I then spread powdered oyster shell on top of soil. Your gnats will probably go away on there own though. Your plants Roots aren't large enough to drink all that water yet, but as soon as they fill that pot unless your over watering you shouldn't have a problem.

OK, so do u suggest just watering around the plant itself instead of worrying about the runoff

At that size you won't need much water. Sand cuts down evap as well. I don't worry about runnoff. YMMV we all grow a bit different. I'll randomly check ph on my water and or the fertilizer I am using at the time. Fungus gnats are just a nuisance mostly. I water right through the sand. I grow in 5 gal buckets.

You watered that big pot to run-off twice in 5 days with a seedling. Carefull that seems like alot. Looks a little too soon for a gnat infestation so the soil probably had fg larvae. Watering that much will further accelerate the gnats reproductive cycle.

Yellow Sticky traps and proper watering will kill them off slowly and permanently when indoor.

Try to water way less but more often for now if needed.
Forget about runoff for now, it only matters when you feed.
