Fungus Gnats eradication?

I was thinking of using hydrogen peroxide but that'll also kill me healthy microbes and such. Apple cider vinegar seems useless. Yellow stickey traps will get rid of them overtime if placed on the soil bed. I heard something about blue stickys but up high for some reason. Anyone heard of that? What else am I missing? I got them from happy frog soil and I know their larvae are enjoying my cherry kush roots.

Mosquito bits from amazon. Or mosquito crumbles, whatever their called. Its a once and done top dressing and it works in about two weeks everytime. Keep em dryer and clean standing water up always, traps, and low spots get with some bleach spray.

The yellow sticky traps seem to work, especially when laying horizontal on the top of the container. You can buy a can of sticky coating to reuse those yellow cards. (google for "tangletrap sticky coating".). Just squeegee off the old sticky with a razor blade, spread on the new.

What's worked for me is to lay posterboard over the top of the container. I bought some white poster board and cut two disks about 1-2" larger than the diameter of the container. I cut a slot to the center. Then place the two disks over the soil oriented so the slots in the center are on opposite sides. The white poster board reflects some light up (added benefit?). Another benefit is it keeps the top of the soil from drying out too quickly. Soil dries more evenly.

I think it helps a lot. If I have gnats, they're not many. Sometimes I'll spray a small amount of pyrethum under the cover. I'll lay a sticky on top.

The only remaining challenge is the drain holes at the bottom. I spray some pyrethum down there occasionally. I want to buy some panty hose, fit the bottom of the container into the hose so it will drain but block access to the gnats.

I just keep a bottle of isoprople alcohol in a spray bottle nearby when I water. I found that by only filling my trays to water the gnats live all the way at the bottom because the soil up top is too dry. When I water I sometimes see my trays have baby gnats swimming around. I simply spray some alcohol on the top of the water and kill them all. Also I keep sticky cards in the trays because when you water this way the gnats try to climb up and out. If it gets real bad you could use azamax as a soil drench, but not too late in flower. I like azamax because it shuts off the feeding mechanism and the sex drive. It also suffocates them. But alcohol kills on contact and will not harm your plants! Also turn down your lights and shut off your fans before you spray anything, and never spray anything on flowering plants!!! Just the soil and pots. Don't forget under the pots, those little fuckers will hide there.

Gnats are sometimes a sign of overwatering too.

Mosquito bits and clove oil work wonders! I got rid of my fungus gnats in 1 day. I used to have fly's crawling on my soil but ever since I used clove oil and mosquito bits they are trying to escape my closet.
I just put 2 drops of clove oil in an 8 oz bottle of tap water poke holes in the top and spray the soil and plant.
