Fungus Gnat?

Try the Dunks ohmy, they work great
maybe in soil but so does simply drying out the soil well. OP hasn't stated if he's in soil or hydro. I can tell you now all mosquito dunks in hydro is fuck up your res, plan on cleaning it for awhile after you use those things, in hydro gnatrol I believe it is will take out the larvae fucking up your rootzone but also leave your plant possibly harmed. having said that iF you don't get rid of these things your crop will be fucked, happy new year and good luck.

Azamax drench to the root zone at full strength. The only solution that's worked for me. I've tried everything.

Your local hydro shop should have a small bottle for $20. That's enough to treat your entire garden a few times so long as we're not talking industrial warehouse grow.

never, maybe early if I see anything flying around but other than that those things are trash, those that say they kill spider mites, I had no luck. I use nothing poison in flower.

I have this device that I can spray down the room with something very safe , such as purespray green for several variety of pest and mighty wash for those nasty little mites. the spray is very complete with this thing and clearing a room of bugs is easy if you catch it or do preventative maintenance sprays.

I've used gnatrol with success.. does some cool thing to interfere with larvae cycle. Is comepletely safe as far as I know and works in a very natural way... vs. pesticides. Not an area of expertise for me... just throwin it out.

I think this is the stuff with cedar oil in it.

I started putting some mosquito dunks in my RO res, and put up a Hot Shot Strip. I hear those strips are pretty nasty, so I only want to keep it up for 10-15 days or so, figure I'll keep it up for a full life cycle. My plants weren't really ready for water, but I put about 1/2 gallon of dunk treated water in the top layer of soil on each of my 15 gallon pots. Next time they get a full water, they should get a full dose of the dunk larvae killer. I'll let you know if it works. I'm pretty sure my problem is gnats, though I was paranoid about root aphids. I've only seen winged guys and they hang out by my drain holes. I read somewhere that its a common hangout for fungus gnats in house plants. Looking at them close up they are very mosquito like, and not like aphid pics I've seen. I don't seem to have them too bad yet, so I don't think there is any major harm yet, hoping to squash this before it becomes an issue.

I have used Gnatrol, mosquito dunks, Azamax only to have all those annoying gnats come back. I found the best way to get rid of them is by using Predatory Nematodes a microscopic ringworm that eats the gnat larvae. For only 20 bucks they send you 1 million. My gnats were on roids because they would chill on the top of my mosquito dunks. Hot Shot pest strips will only kill the adults flying around. Gnats love to fuck on your medium and lay a shit load of larvae in your soil/medium. Nature Vs. Nature beats chemicals.

man if you're in soil you can just let that shit dry out real good and the larvae are plant food. pushing up daisies and shit. personally I don't know this for fact since I don't do soil but it certainly makes sense those slimy little maggots need moisture to stay alive. I used the BT (mosquito dunks) in hydro just to shit up my res . maybe they'll work for you in soil but by far I'm thinking just let them dry out is the best choice.

You havent seen the larvae because they are in your soil feeding on the roots of your plant if you dig a little I can almost guarantee you will find tiny little clear/white dots which are the larvae.

beav, does that have cedar oil in it? my hydro dude recommended it but then he added "it may kill your plants" and I steered clear.

Drying out becomes a issue because then you stress the shit out of your plant.

No GO-GNATS has cedar oil... Predatory nematodes are a ringworm you cant see them with the naked eye you just add them in a sponge ( they come in a sponge) you add them to water and then water your plants they burrow in the dirt and NOM NOM on the larvae..

GO-GNATS the stuff with cedar oil is scary stuff I saw a hydro dude kill like 20 plants using it and I have seen soil guys use it with success..Heres the link give them a try you wont be disappointed and no chemicals on your girls.

ah, thanks for the correction, I did try the nematodes in hydro with no luck. the only thing that worked for me was to harvest and clean shit up.

the cool thing I like about the nematodes is the enter every orifice that goddamn little maggot has, the anus is my fave! They just didn't seem to work for me, or maybe they did, its hard to say.
