INFESTATION!! The mites seem to be winning, i'm doing everything i know and they aren't going away. I've lost a total of 6 of the largest fan leaves from the lowest part of the plant. Now the bud sights down there are now being affected and donht think i'll yeild nearly as much as i thought at this point.

Can anyone suggest what i can do. Leaves got spoty, then started drying up, turning brown then fell on their own.

AAHHHH! Can anyone help???

maybe my cry for help was a little premature. the mites seem to have cleared up now. tho the nute burn is still evident, flushed her for the 3rd time last night. today she's not had any more change in color or drying.

things are lookin up, hope it stays that way

She's a sorry veiw of what she once was. Good news is no more leaves dropping off or color getting worse. I'm hoping she'll recover enough to yeild a decent amount. Sadly what caused the most destruction was my own doing with the nute burn, the mites where only icing on the cake of this clusterfuck. Now i know what to look for just as it begins to set in before it gets as bad as this.

Internet's been down. Flushing has done it. Vigorous growth on top, lots of hairs. Total loss, 5 bud sites. Pics coming tomorrow, hopefully...

Dam it all ta hell! I'm 90% sure my camera wsa stollen out of my car, the 1 and only time i forget to lock my car and now i can't find it. Whatev, well till i find it, get it back or buy a new 1 no pics. About an inch has grown since the nute burn. Glad to see i didn't fuck up another grow, lesson learned. Though the color of the new growth is a lighter green, i'm hesitant to start giving any nutes. I suppose it just needs a little nitrogen to boost the green back...?

If i have enough info out there, can anybody confirm?

If I were you Id buy some Terra Flores from Canna to finish the grow, its almost impossible to overfeed with that in soil. I use it with 50ml per 10 liters and my buds always came out nice :D For the rest try to get your temps right (20c at night and 28c during the day). Next time you have mites get ladybugs and scatter them around them, much better then pesticides. If you really have a big infestation you might want to use fluoromite in a spray bottle, but make sure you do it atleast 3 weeks before harvesting, otherwise your bud will taste like crap and might even be poisonous.

My roommate decided to bring it in for me and forgot to tell me where he put it. Thanks but no thanks ya know, haha.

The big fan leaves are still burnt but alive, the main stock has really come back lush green. The top grew so fast it went straight to the plexi glass and began to bend then got a tiny bit light burnt, i've had 2 phone books sitting under the pot, removed 1 for good measure

Take the other one(phone book) out she'll grow faster and should promote good new growth. It looks better!

Things still looking good, gave her her 1st feeding since the burn. Using 1/8 ratio all around, including my newest introduction of the miracle grow organic choice nitrogen 8-0-0 made from molasses

I'm guessing it'll 35-45 more days till harvest

Oh Dam! Thats what the spots are. Thought they were result on the nute burn. I'll hit it with some neem oil ASAP

Thanks Choempi

Figuring i have at least 30 more days till harvest, i hope i can eliminate it by then. Though my research tells me it shouldn't affect the buds too much if i keep applying neem

You will love your Full Moon after it is finished. Nice spicy thai flavor with a great kick. I have 4 weeks left in flowering of my Full Moon and Jock Horror. I had no problems with Nirvana genetics. I am on my second grow using the clones from the seeds I ordered from Nirvana. Check out my grow in my sig.

Anyone know what it could do if i'm not able to fend off the powdery mildew before clipping her? From what i've read it mostly affects the leaves by consuming the chlorophil they produce

G'day Mate,
Good on you for keeping up the effort.
'Choempi' is right, you have powdery mildew there, at the same time though you are doing the right thing with the Neem, however I don't think you should be using it every day as it may 'suffocate' the plant (as described in other threads). Use it on alternating days but there are other things to do...improve air circulation, address humidity, and trim affected leaves, like cut them off but not too much all at once. Some of the more experienced growers used sulpher but I think that is a little over-kill for your one plant in the set-up you have. Sadly as it gets to your buds they will stunt so work on giving the bud sites the best TLC first.

It's a bit late now (maybe) but I think your lights are insufficient, I grew with CFLs also but I had a hell of alot more than four 20watt CFLs.

I note that you've addressed the perlite issue, another tip is this..if you use a medium that already has nutes in it but then you realise that the plant is deficient in something (like your nitrogen), then try foliar feeding instead of adding more to the medium.
In my experience I had to supplement Cal/Mag (due to excessive peat moss in the medium affecting the Ph) so I foliar fed with Epsom Salts while I addressed the soil Ph. In your case you may have gone with say foliar feeding with Orchid food which is very high in Nitrogen, that way you could maintain control of how much N it received whilst flushing the soil to address the Ph or lock-out.

Good on you for keeping it up though, we all have to start from the beginning right? You're persistence is going to reward you soon enough.
And if anyone asks about the "new plants" tell them it's a new Brazilian Tomato plant that you're trying out.

One Love,
Yarndi.
