2-3 weeks....the ones in the pic got soft on the bottom..like rot,, but out of 12 cuts 6 at atime it was not happening... TODAY I got 2 that are showing root .... I figured it out, cuts too early off reveg. ... plus afraid they were too dry , so.............. too much water/light ... I am my own worst enemy.... the last 2 took about 8 days to show .... thanks for the interest .....still would like to hear thoughts on cloneing a re-veg ! <>plus peat-pucks<>

I cut my clones a little smaller then that and trim off part of the leaves too.

Use a two cut technique. Cut off from plant and put in water. Then later as you put into the puck, slice the bottom again at an angle and also make a few little slices along the lower stem. Cut deep enough to allow rooting hormone to enter. You;ll get roots from the slices. Do on both sides. Work fast and clean.

The idea is to keep the plant from transpiring and sucking up air bubble into stem. The bubble causes a block and clone won't make it.

I like the high domes with adjustable vent holes. They need ventilation. Under that pop bottle...too much humidity and not enough ventilation.

Also if you withhold N feeding from clone mother for a few weeks before cutting...sugars will stack up and give the cutting more stored food to survive.

PS: I've had really good results with rootone powdered...the liquid stuff seems to go bad after awhile. Not the powder. Just don't dip into the main jar.
