Ron Paul is proven assclown. I am glad he wasn't given a trial and was just fucking killed outright because that sends a message (coupled with the Patriot Act) that if you are going to conduct terrorist actions against the US, your status as a US citizen doesn't mean shit.

Morons can spout off all they want, that's all well and good. The moment you start carrying out attacks is the moment you cease to be an American.

You can't "renounce" your citizenship. There is a process for expatriation, its long and very expensive, but until you do it you will ALWAYS be a US Citizen. No matter how much you don't want to be one.

Death is renunciation enough.

And Beardo, what's the point, man?

And you know, I thought the US Constitution guaranteed EVERYONE would get a fair trial. Have we been fooling ourselves all this time by calling ourselves the bastion of freedom. How can you be a bastion of freedom when you strip people of their rights with no due process?

technically you don't even have to be a us citizen to commit treason against the us, so his citizenship status doesn't mean squat to me. i don't care that he didn't get a trial. the law in this case doesn't require one.

Do you find it acceptable also for a government to conduct covert activities and overthrow democratically elected leaders?

What law says that the US can kill people on a whim? What law is that exactly?

You are either with us, or you are with the terrorists
I think that quote from Dam conveys my point pretty well.
By who's definition? Isn't this where a jury of "your Peers" was supposed to come in? Who defines who is the enemy- and do we want to remotely engage our enimies? It would really suck to be on the recieving end of drone strikes- What if China decides they want to bank occupy wallstreet with drones or use them to attack donald trump for all his anti china retoric?
What about them saying your an enemy if your to white or black or to rich or poor? what if they use one on Alex Jones or Michael Moore?

I sure do. Given the propensity of electoral fraud worldwide I think it's necessary. Also, we are by no means the only government conducting covert operations geared towards destablization of foreign countries. I know that you didn't say that, but it's worth mentioning.

So instead of telling people" if you don't like it you can move". Start telling them to drop dead.
Umm...yeah, when they start committing terrorist actions against the US, they are as good as dead, IMO. And, if they wanted to renounce their citizenship they can do so by following these easy steps.

Oh man, I hope you don't mean this in your heart. This is classic false dichotomy ... saying a middle ground does not exist. I despise terrorists. I also despise loyalty tests. I choose option 3: I hate terrorism; I also hate illegal use of executive power. I exercise my right to dissent.
What has happened to the REAL American spirit, the one where a fellow citizen will say
"I cannot stand the drivel that comes out of your piehole. However I will defend to my death your right to drivel away."? cn

If that guy wanted a "fair trial" and to be part of the American process he could have turned himself in at any time, and probably been treated quite fairly for the Intel value he could have provided. He chose otherwise, and got otherwise.

Gosh that sure is easy, all you have to do is move out of country, and find a consulate to renounce your citizenship and its all done, then you will be stuck where you are and will never be able to leave because now you are stateless and cannot ever get a passport. Sounds easy, but it isn't.

Could have during his dinner at the pentagon when he was visiting as their guest, except he wasn't charged with any thing.

OK...Do you feel that it is the right of the citizens that have been subjected to our "covert operations" to retaliate, or should they simply accept that we will do what we want and they should accept it.

It's still pretty easy to renounce. You have to admit that. Beyond that, that's the individuals problem to figure out for themselves.

He was wanted for his involvement in terrorist activities. That's pretty obvious.

They have every right to do as they please. I wouldn't take away an individuals free will.
