So I was just readjusting my lights and the tie slipped out of my hand and I jjust busted 8 of my CFLs... I ahve the 100 watt=26 watt 1700 Lumen Soft White Great Value bulbs from Walmart, would these do or should I run out and get some Bright White ones? my Plants are almost 2 months old just getting torwards the end of my 24/0 light schedule about a week and a half out from going to 12/12.. I had moved my plants while adjusting the lights luckily for this type of disaster... So at least I saved them from getting squashed.

get a good light this time :)
No I had good lights from Home Depot, but I have ones from walmart for around the house... with that answer I am guessing I should prolly buck up and replaceme the lights for the last leg of the veg stage.. I have some other CFLs that are better for Flowering set aside as well but I think I should just finish out the veg properl.. I just replaced the bulbs 2 weeks ago too :/

I started using just cfl's but heck, it really ain't that much cheaper than hps. I suggest saving yourself the time and hassle by just buying a small HPS light. I use cfl's for my veg only, and it's a pain moving them all the time. That's why I chose 150W hps in my flower area. $69

I saw this great Mh $ HPS conversion lamp that was $165 and 400 watt which would be ideal for what I am looking to accomplish in the neasr future, but as for now I dont have the extra cash to be spending on the light and have the extra time to fidget with the CFL setup to ensure my plants are getting enough light.

Yea coming into growing I thought the cfl's would be more cost effective and most of the time it is depending on how many plants you got. But I think hps is deffinately less of a hassle. Never seen one for $69 though.

Looking damn good man congratulations, still trying to figure out if I should go with 24/0 and new lights or just switch them to 12/12.. Anyone have input that could be useful? I dont want to switch the schedule if they are too early because I am sure the consequences are not worth taking the cheaper way out

If it were me, I'd go ahead and start my flowering period. They will still grow a bit while in transition from veg to flower and if you say you only have about a week and a half left, it really won't matter much as far as your yeild is concerned. I myself put my clones into flower 3 weeks after they are cut from the mother plant. They go in around 6 to 8 inches tall and finish up anywhere from 18 to 22 inches if I don't lollypop them.

Well I just went to Walmart and of course they do not have the cool White that I need, for my next grow I am going to need them anyways.. So they will just get a night off I guess.
