one more little update .... i had posted that i planted the GHS Lemon Skunk .....
They broke soil in the morning. By night they were dead from fungus gnat larvae living in the soil i used. This is my own fault due to the fact that i was having pest problems and probably should've went and grabbed another bag of soil instead of using what was laying around.... Oh well. Time to go to the hydro shop.

Thanks so much for the tip my man!! I had actually contemplated this... shaping the plant up ...cutting the tops a bit down to size. I've literally supercropped every branch in there ,but i do need tbe height to come down a bit. They're going on almost 3 feet from base to top. and LST will not work for me at this point since the plant is also gaining width.
I will surely try this method on one plant just for a test run to see how it reacts.
So you grew out Fruity Chronic??? how was the smoke. It's the shortest, and best producer i have right now. Funny thing about it is it says the finishing time is under 60 days however, it's the least ripe of any of the strains i'm growing. The Strawberry blue and Bubblelicious claim to take 70 and look about up to speed
Ataxia I'm not sure about the Strawberry Blue but I just finished my Bubblicious and right at 8 weeks quite a few of the trichs were amber and 99% of the hairs were orange and had been for a little while. You know what you are doin I would just keep an eye out around 8 weeks.

Yep i was just checking the trichs today .... They're pretty cloudy-clear at this point. over 75 percent of the hairs have died back but it's still pushing out a few more. It was pretty suprising to me that the bubblelicious are ready way before the estimated flowering period. I do have one pheno that seems to be taking a bit longer.
The only bitch about my bubblelicious is that the stems are very thin and weak. Well that is to say that some of the smaller lower branches can't take the weight of the buds. But it sucks i didn't clone the early pheno one. It also has the pink chewing gum scent to it.... maybe next time
.. your grow looks great btw!

Thanks Ataxia. Yeah man I had the same problem I didn't do any LSTing or supercropping with mine just 1 main cola but all of the lower branches were very weak also. Sucks you didn't get some clones off the Pheno. Thanks for the + rep!

just giving an update ... I know my grow journal has lacked pictures, but I'm still in the learning process so i figured I'd do this one short and sweet.
It's almost harvest time babies!! I'll be flushing my Fruity Chronic Juice and Bubblelicious tomorrow. I'll try and take as many pics so you can see how the plants grew out. I figure I've been giving straight water for the past week and a half and I'll give em a 16 gallon flush per pot let them use up the water and clip. The trichs are cloudy on both sets ... no signs of amber just yet .. but i have a feeling they'll be turning quickly after the flush,
I'll give some detals about both plants
----Fruity Chronic Juice ... was easy to grow, a nute hog. some hairs stay white even though the trichs are cloudy. alot less die back than other stains ... Had problems with Cal/Mag issues or lockout.
-------Bubblelicious ... was a bit harder to grow. Is best grown in one main cola. All in all the branches on the Bbblicious are very weak, especially at the bottom. Both phenos i have finished early than the estimated time. They are as advanced as the FCJ. It's a bit sensitive to nutes ... best to feed N during the beginning of flower.
Strawberry Blue is the last to be chopped when the trichs look right. So far the buds look the MOST advanced with almost complete dieback on the hairs but the trichs are still clear. I may try and give her another boost of bloom food before flushing and chopping, although she's getting yellow.

one last thing you'll see in the pics i post tomorrow is, the cold weather gave me some purpling on the bblicious . shame i didn't have a bit longer to go.. i would've had purple buds.

Definitely agree the Bubblicious is a SOG plant. Wow I use H & G nutes and pushed the ppm's pretty and probably could have gone a little farther with em and had no problems with burn or lockout.

are you talking about the bubblelicous or the fruity chronic
Bubblicious was fine, and i agree. it wasn't too bad with nutes .... i have problems keeping the green in in flower so it was a see saw .... i lost alot of leaf the 4th week of BBL. but the fruity chronic juice was a nute whore ....it loved em, and in return maybe i loved giving it to them. Like i said both FCJ plants locked up or needed some Cal/Mag. whatever the case was it was delt with quick and affected very little.

Finally ..... I have some pics. My Bubblelicious will be done first out of the three. I'm sorry there isn't more pics, but i have no patience for resizing pictures on my current progream. I'm sure there's and easier way but i'm not that skilled yet.
This muthafucka is pretty. My cool temps at night turned Bubblelicous purple. The other 2... Fruity Chronic Juice and Strawberry Blue are short behind finishing... but ... it seems llike strawberry blue's trichs aren't clouding up. and FCJ is ready but i'm looking for amber... trichs are cloudy though.
Funny thing about Fruity Chronic is that it's still producing but by the time it's ripe only about 60 percent of the hairs will have died back.
here's the pics i have so far
I apologize for not having any of the strawberry blue posted, but i some how got entranced by the purple bubblelicous and forgot
PLEASE COMMENT.

thanks man! they're 4 gallon hydrofarm pots. I have my three in veg sitting in them also but I'm not sure if going to have to repot before flowering the new ones. The Bubbleicious will be coming down on Christmas. As you can see in the pic... it looks like it's falling over

much thanks. It does look sweet i must say. The pictures don't do much justice as far as seeing the amount of purple in it. ... that sucks you lost yours... It seems like it will be a fantastic smoke, but with early tests it seems like it needs a long cure. The flavors don't really come out until at least the first week of curing... and even then it should go longer IMO.
thanks for the rep!

Those are some sexy girls man. I'm jealous of the variety of tasty candy in your garden, haha, i'm glad i'm doing three strains my next grow. I've got a pure sativa(The Goo), a mostly pure indica(XXL Big Bud), and a 50/50 strain(XXX Skunk) and their already about 4-6 inches tall clones/sprouts. They're just waiting to take their turn in the flowering room. Anyways can't wait to see the harvest pics and hear the smoke report, happy HIGH holidays!

a little update .... I chopped the bubblelicious, dried and cured her ... I'll have pics in a few days once i get the cam back. It's a good smoke so far.. honestly I'm not impressed. I think i picked a bit too early. But it needs longer curing. Seemed like a good producer though. I ended up with about 80 g dry from it. I was happy! I know it's not an impressive number but i still have 3 more to go so i curious what my g per watt will be.
I also chopped my Fruity Chronic Juice yesterday .. It seemed to be a heavy producing indica. But after manicuring, it revealed wispy buds. I believe this is due to the Chronic cross in it as i've heard some phenos are low yielding. My Strawberry Blue is a disaster IMO. It was burnt with the last feeding of bloom nutes ...and its sugar leaves are dying back so much so to where manicuring is going to be tedious ... It also has an ammonia like smell due to over feeding i think. We will see if it fails me.
Anyhow just an update .... pics will be soon of some dried bud!
