Now I don't know much. But I do know that if you put water on plants, they grow.

Seriously though, dont you guys have weed stores everywhere in Canada? You should be able to find some seeds pretty easily. I highly recommend going feminized. Organic soil. and HID lighting (seems old school but even the best leds are still not much better watt for watt.) Even if you want to do a little 3x3 tent, expect to spend 150$ on tent, 250$ on 315 CMH light or whatever you pick, 150$ on carbon filter/exhaust fan, pots, soil, ph meter, etc.etc.etc. With electricity, you will have 1-2 grand into this before you chop your first nice kola unless you go micro size in a 2x2 tent.

Figure out how much you are looking to grow and then we can go from there on what you need to make it happen.

Hi Henny, welcome aboard!

Try starting with clones if you can find them, I'm sure there's some in or around Vancouver.

If you're going to order seeds instead of going to a store try PeakSeedsBC for low prices and great quality. You can also buy clones from them.

Bro I hate to burst your bubble but realistically I would think you should do your research first.

Have a general game plan of what you want to do before you start. That will affect your bean selection.

Do you want to do one or two plants? Or do you want to do a jungle?

How long do you want to flower them for?
Will you need separate places for flowering and vegetation?
Do you want to do a perpetual grow?
Do you want to do autoflowers?
Soil or salt?
Do you plan on topping?

I hope that didn't sound overly harsh. I meant that because I get I get it's exciting tree grabbing some beans. But once you add water, you have to have answers to those questions.

I have been growing since February of this year. There is so much to learn and I am loving it.

If you want to do organic soil with some weird mad scientist vibes, hit me up! I am having a fucking blast.

I'm totally on board with what you're going for. I think that's totally possible.

Are you thinking more as a decorative element in part of your design? Yet badassidly functional and fucking amazing?

BC should be easy to find seeds in. While not the best at customer support I have good good seeds from this seller and they did not cost an arm and a leg.

I tried some regular garden fertilizers, did not do well on my first run. Changed to General Hydroponics MaxiGrow and MaxiBloom, since then found out people sometimes just use MaxiBloom the whole run. With a coco and perlite mix it is pretty hard to muck up. Just mix a tablespoon to a gallon (four litres) water and you are off and running. Almost forgot, some calmag. Or just get some dirt. I have a couple of plants in it and they are doing well just on the General Hydroponics.

For lights you can use some cool white light bulbs to get going, to flower them you will need at least 100 watts out of the wall (as an example a led bulb I have which is 100W equivalent draws 12W). This is not for a large plant. You can just get warm white 3000 K (Kelvin, it is the wavelength colour) and do the veg and bloom cycle on them. You will need to keep the plant in dark every day for 12 hours though. A cheap timer works. I got bulbs from a Dollar Store, $1.25 each. Just need some bases and wire it together with some lamp cord (extension cord wire). This is if you want to go a low buck diy grow. Mount them to a fence board cut in two (or three) to get light all around. Or even train it to just face forward.

The grow question is not that hard to do. What would you do to get it in flower though? You need it free of light for 12 hours to bloom. Maybe in a corner and some kind of non-translucent material. Also it will give off a distinctive odor, some less than others. A large cardboard box could work.

Keep in mind weed has extremely high energy demands....

It depends on how much you really want to get into it. Budget is a solid dictator. The initial startup stage budget and then the long-term budget.

You could turn that room into a grow room. But that's a bit excessive for one plant. Keep in mind, when you go to flower the plant you will need to have a light proof housing for your girl.
