While it looks quite good, i'm trying to work out an opinion on their warranty service. Some of their statements seem pretty fucked up.

The folks at delta9vapes.com are the warranty folks for the Omicron/Persei units. The Omicrons charger has a 60 day warranty, and on the V1 that means you probably got it replaced three times. I bought two new chargers for mine because they die so fast. The V2 Omicron was only put out to fix the V1 charger problem.

They told me I could fuck myself with respect to the charger dying out of warranty (despite nearly every customer being plagued by the problem), so I give them a big fuck you back for that. They should have upgraded the charger unit and sent everyone new ones for free to all of their customers. Now granted, they didnt say "fuck you", but no reply to email no answering the phone and they have never shipped my order the same day even though I ordered at 9am on their site both occasions. So yes, their service sucks. But, its a $99 or $199 product. Try getting good customer service for other $100-$200 products, like a Linksys Router or your Cable TV receiver working again. They are too small and too new to be able to handle anything yet, just an opinion, of course.

The Persei, well, it hits about 5x harder than the Omicron v1. Maybe more. Its not QUITE a nail/dabber, but its pretty f'n close. With two 3-second inhales, I'm in happy land. With three 3-second inhales, I'm coughing for five minutes. The Persei is SIGNIFICANTLY higher quality than the Omicron. It feels solid, heavy, comfortable, and nice. The mouthpiece for cartridges was also upgraded from the Omicron's replaceable plastic tip (despite it showing in the Persei picture, you get the new metal sealed tips that last forever). The new mouthpiece tips are very nice, but the dual cartridge is a little weird to hit with them. You cant make a real suction. But, since quick hits is all it takes, its something I'm getting used to. The Persei has a lifetime warranty, but of course the business making them hasnt been around a year anyway, so YMMV. :)

Do remember that the cartridges that you put oil in, are not permanent fixtures. They are replaceable every few fills when the element inside wears out. At $10 each, its not expensive, but a consideration.

So, I've now downgraded my Omicron to a "Cute, but dont buy it". I've decided to give the Persei four stars out of five, since the company support sucks and the mouthpiece is a little weird.

I think THCScientific uses us to test their beta products, and sells them for full price. The Persei is very nice, more will be better, and its up to you if you want to wait or vape.

Aye. It certainy does sound good tbh, my issue with portable vapes has always been the amount of hits required to get remotely high. My MFLB is certainly good, but it takes a LOT of effort in order to get high.

My issue with the warranty is that while it has a lifetime warranty, after 1 years you have to pay them $30 every time you need it fixing. As you say, they're a small startup so don't have that much capital to play around with, but i like a copany who has such faith in their build quality that they do not expect it to break enough to warrant such repair payment.

I stopped smoking tobacco a week ago and wel, the aim is to keep it that way. So once i start growing again, i will be in much more need of portable vapes so this may very well be something for me to keep my eyes on. You certainly sell it with the notion of 2 3-second hits getting you in happy land, as opposed to me huffing and puffing fairly fruitlessly on the MFLB which is by no means a cheap unit itself.

To note on the $30 fix charge. You have to buy the warranty if you didnt buy it from Delta9vapes. If you buy it on eBay, no warranty, any other site, no warranty. So, what the charge is, is for people who bought it from someone else, its their profit line so then yours magically has the warranty, too. All it screams to me, is that they dont make the product, that they buy it from someone else who is also selling it to other vendors, too. Kinda funny. But, more of the worry reason for their longevity.

At $199, I would expect it to last me no more than two years of use before something better comes along or something cooler. It'd be given to a friend at that point.....

Persei vaporizer - Has a Lifetime Warranty against all manufacturer defects on all parts except battery (cell), extract cartridge and charger. All parts will be replaced for free 1 year except battery (cell) and charger after date of purchase with original printed receipt from a authorized dealer. After that it will be a $30 per service call + Shipping.
No, even if you buy from delta9, while you have a lifetime warranty, i guess it's a limited warranty, after the first year, you have to pay the $30. While it's good that so long as they can identify it as havinng been their item, they even say you can run over it with a steamroller :D, then for the $30 they will make it brand new again. So in that regard it is good, but yeah, i do like when a company has that much faith in their product as to stand 100% behind it's quality. And from what you said about the omnicrom v1 i think it's called, they don't have the best track record. The final note or the warranty disclaimed also irks me to some extent

We reserve the right to substitute a product with another of equal and or greater value or equal and or greater performance if the original product is not available.
Given that i might spend £30 on booze on a saturday night should i go out, i can't however see the price as too much of an issue, and having watched a youtube video on it, it certainly looks like it does a damned good job of turning the stuff into vapour, clouds of the stuff :D There will most likely be a new version or model out by the time i am in a position to justify owning one, that is to say i've cannabis haha, but i will certainly be bookmarking this :) I mean hey, better a limited warranty on an item that does a good job, than a full lifetime warranty on my MFLB which doesn't get used due to it's lack of effectiveness.

And just seen this, also something that i never really like to read :/
We reserve the right to change warranties without notice.

I think it works pretty good. I couldn't get it to choke me but I got smoke. Seemed like we would use it and my friend would say "its just got to heat up" everytime I used it. Like it normally works better but its not hot enough yet.. he was also selling these..

Agreed. I've tried many different ways to vape oil and full-melts, but nothing beats Ti for a fat, thick gratifying hit. However, I love my Omicron for stealthy portability.

I'm looking forward to trying out the Peresi along with some of the attachments (like the hammer and herb chamber) that look to make it a very versatile tool.

My favorite one was the one that the guys from grassroots hats had from the dispensary in denver. It was very small, with just a push button. Dispensary sold the refill capsules, and the thing ripped. But, my favorite one that is for sale retail was the SToK Vape, I only remember that cause I took a pic of it after I hit it so i would remember. I dont remember if I hit a Persei or not, but like I said, even the best one left me craving for a real nice dab.

The Persei wasnt on the market when you were in Vegas, so it probably wasnt there.......... I bet there are ten times as many to try next year. :)

Total fail so far. I can taste the wick I believe, can't taste the wax. Tried to puff through it in hopes I could saturate the wick and ended up clogging the cartridge....
Weird. Make sure that you read the owners manual and are starting new cartridges with the lower voltage. Mine is clogged every time I go to use it, but a quick sherlock pop to each mouthpiece clears it in a matter of a second................
