From tent to wardrobe – Temps/Lighting/Setup/Noise

I have a 120x120x200cm tent which I have been using with a 400w HPS light and a passive 125mm (5”) extraction going up and out to an extraction point (window), with oscillating fans for extra movement in the tent and to help push hot air from the light up and out the filter. Due to a more stealth area needed, I will be running a wardrobe of: 80x55x190cm on my next grow in a couple of weeks, which personally I prefer this enclosure in terms of getting as much as possible off the bulb by coating every inch in Mylar. However, where I live now the summers hit 40°C + and even with my tent now I am struggling to keep my temps below 30°C which is not ideal – but has not affected me too much this time luckily.

I am probably going to need at least 500m3 of air being pushed, rather than the 300m3 or so now? I used to run a 8” RVK with no problems and solid 25°C temperatures on a similar setup, but with noise being a big factor this time - I am not sure how viable this would be... I currently have my 125mm (5”) RVK pretty quiet by placing it in a box rammed with foam, but I don´t think this will have same effect with a big fan lol. The difference between RVK in size and loudness is pretty big! I have owned 200mm and 150mm RVK´s and they sound like a jet taking off. Insulated ducting and boxes do help this but is still pretty noisy...

I do have portable AC unit for extreme situations but it is very loud and expensive to run. So looking for general suggestions, this is only 3 or 4 months of the year the heat is this high, the rest of it is manageable, but fan controllers can be run which would also help with noise and have better control on the climate for the rest of the year.

I am not really up to date in much growing equipment in the last 4 years, so I guess I have a few questions:
  • Are there any affordable options for silent in-line fans or other solutions?
  • I was looking into CMH bulbs few years back, I have looked into purchasing a Philips 400w CMH conversion bulb but it seems there discontinued and near impossible to get outside the USA if a shop did have them? The new 315 series are extremely pricey as kits right now though? Or is there anything else on the market?
  • Friend said about CO2 making the plant resilient to higher temperatures, but in such a small area would this be advisable?

Thanks ppl!
