from ez clone to hydroton...couple questions

I have a bunch of clones growing in an ezcloner which have started to root. My growing medium for my setup is hydroton, so I have a couple of questions:

Do I actually need to transplant them into rockwool cubes before going to the hydroton?

How big should the roots be when I transplant them?

My system is a General Hydroponics Water Farm 8 unit pack ( http://www.generalhydroponics.com/genhydro_US/waterfarm.html ). How many clones should I stick in each pot for maximum yield?

One plant per pot i wud say, never had one, so i mostly guessing. O just transplanted my clone to hydroton and it went smoothly. Just carefully place them in as low as you can go and layer gently around them with the rocks. I sae a few days of slow growth before they shot off and started up!

How long of roots should I have before transplanting them? My roots are about an inch long right now

I know not all of them are ready, but im wondering if the ones with longer roots are ready

in a little while a few days or so those roots will grow hairs and u know ur really set. I experimented and tried a few at ur growth and a few with hairs. I think one of mine was the same size as one of your smalls even. They all went 100 percent successfully. Just add carefully, although dont freak, its tough girl, ull see! Did yu post pics of the tops, i curious.

If your using nutes right off the bat I would be careful not to let the nutes splash on your babies. The look ready to plant.

They spent a week with no nutes, and they weren't rooting at all, i added nutes about 4 days ago and they immediately started growing roots, so quickly i can see changes in just a few hours.

How long, if at all, should my clones be spending without nutes in the future? This is my first time cloning

hey, can you answer my question about using rockwool or not by chance? I'm kinda scared that I will break the roots so I really want to find out if it's even necessary with hydroton. If I don't need rockwool do I just let the roots grow a bit longer than normal?

Just set the clones down in the hydroton and barry them a bit. So the hydroton is supporting the clones.

Ya, the roots will grab onto everything they can to anchor the plant so don't worry.

The only thing you need to worry about is what to do with all that delicious bud!

Thats the neauty of aero or dwc cloning, u don't need any rockwool.

If the clones arent grown in rockwool I wouldnt try and cram them into rockwool once the roots are showing. I would get those small net pots and place them in those and put the hydroton in and around the the roots by hand, and that way it can sit a little above the drip ring to. (just a thought Im no expert)

take the 6 in cube and fill the whole with rockwool croutons around the roots and let them root.
