Frist time grow, Trainwreck and bag seed, please help

No yellowing of leaves, your doing great man! lst or topping, now would be the time, but if you don't got height restrictions, let's see these ladies grow. I'm pulling up a chair!

well i had to google fortnight cuz i've never heard that word. so you think 2 more weeks in veg huh. this being my first grow i wasn't planing on lst ing them cuz i dont really know how and kind of want to just see what happens.

yeah, just start getting used to growing and then when you feel comfrotable check out the other lst grows on this site....you can yield way more bud and i heard (i dont know how credible it is) that when the colas compete for dominance they perform at their full potential-if you have the root room and nutes to support them

thanks for the info. would you say a 12x12 pot is good size or should i go bigger next time. have to consider the 400w light.

12x12 might be too big for your lights. I have similar, but less space and i'm using 600w hps for flower, 4x4x6 room, and 6 five gallon pots, (they call them five gallon but i thing they're like 3.5 or something, check out my grow to see the size.) I hate it how you wish you woulda known some things before you bought some things. Then again a 600w or 1000w would set you up in a whole new power usage ball park. a lot to think about.

With your room being 14ft long i'd think about splitting it, 1veg room 1 bloom room. Keep the 400w ballast and mh light for veg. and get a 600w hps or 1000 hps for bloom. I don't know what your feds situation is, but you certainly have the space. I have a veg closet, bloom room, and clone room, and it's working out great. If you do split the room make sure to make it light tight, no light leaks. This would keep it legal, but max yield.

Glad you are getting help. I must apoligize for not calling yesterday. I was a big deadbeat on a barstool........ all day..... How many gallons of soil will the pot hold? I like those square pots....... You can def get some heighth out of small pots but when LST'ing you really need big pots. 12X12 sounds like a 3-4 gallon pot, certainly solid for what you are doing. Im running 5 gallon buckets next. I feel I have the next grow(even at this point) planned out way more than the current

the six pots took two bags of soil to fill. not sure the gallon cuz they dont say. think there like 4 gallon size. its all good about yesterday btw.

quick question. when switching light cycles from 18/6 to 12/12 would it be best to leave the plants in the dark for 24 hours first?

How is everything in your world?
I do not know, I have heard that it helps the flowering proccess start faster. I don't think I have done that in a while. Personal Preference.
Did you get those 12X12 pots downtown? I think they 4 gallons.

Never did this in any of the grows I have done. Just went 12/12 after the last day of veg. Never herd of this technique.

everything is good in my world, thanks. the pots are from home depot. actually yesterday i watered the plants and i picked one up and a root about six inches long was hanging out the bottom of the pot, in the saucer. not sure what to take out of that? i'm kind of worried about the pots being too small, if fact i had a dream about roots last night. in the dream the roots were growing vertical above the soil. weird huh. i also started feeding nuts yesterday. i went with fox farm big bloom and fox farm tiger bloom. also got a ph tester. guess i was feeding them water at 7 ph the whole time. any comments on the root issue are greatly appreciated.

after i get stoned i'll try to post some new pictures.

four of the plants have reached 15 inches tall. the other two are a few days behind and are at about 12 ish. picture 3 is my biggest trainwreck. picture 8 is my random bag seed plant. growth is good but still looks like shit next to the others. monday is the day marked on my calender to start thinking about going 12/12. what do you all think? remember i only have one 400 and only expecting 3 females.

Things are going to start taking off in here. If you feel like getting bigger pots do it. If not, just trim the root and go for it. It will be fine. You will know if the plant get"rootbound" which argueably does/doesn't exist.
