Frisian Duck, Purple Trichomes?

I have spent hours researching and I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere as to what purple trichomes mean in terms of when to harvest. Is there any connection with purple and amber? This plant has been growing five months and I know it's in the harvest window I just don't want to get it wrong. The strain is Frisian duck.

I've seen red and purple trichomes on a few strains, I consider them to be ambers. Those are beautiful pictures! Add Frisian Duck to your post title, see if anyone chimes in.
For my part I say you're a lumberjack and you're ok.

Beutifull where did you get that strain?
Did a google search and found the seeds come from Dutch Passion. It is a beautiful color, I'd love to see the plant and the colas.

OP - Can you post pics of the plants and buds?

In your case, you may need to go less by trichomes and more by the look of the buds. Are the white hairs all gone? Or in your case, did you have purple hairs? When did the buds start developing? If your buds are at 10 - 12 weeks and the straight hairs, white or purple, are all receded, then you can start harvesting the top colas. If you're not sure, just harvest a few and leave the rest to continue growing. Sorry I don't have a better guess for you but I've never seen purple trichomes before. You've done a great job, the plants look awesome.

Tell you what chop that verytop big cola all the way at the top and put it in a cardboarbox. Buy some boveda 62 and throw those in the box as well. First thing tomorrow mornning drop it off at the posst office . Im inboxing u the aDress. :bigjoint:
I know the plant looks really pretty but I'm worried about how much shaking I did of it to get rain and bugs off during these last few weeks of flowering. I'm worried I've knocked off a lot of the trichomes... It's definitely not as trichome saturated as I'm used to seeing.

How long has it been flowering? I have no idea about this strain,, but wat I would do is chop one branch dry and sample it . Then you will be able to judge better. Your definetely notlate .either perfectly on time or early. As far as trichomes before you chop the whole plant I say you flush and keep in dark for 2 days . It will definetely perk up.

Flowering since end of August.
Quick question about flushing - I've used nutrient earth, water and hydrogen peroxide nothing else.. I haven't used the peroxide in about 3 days and don't plant to anymore but if I want to start harvesting isn't it better at this point to let the plant dry out and therefore put no more water?

Also how can you tell with the plant that I am not too late. That's what im most worried about and ruining 5 months of work!

Here's more pictures!image.jpg
