Friendly debate: To pop bubbles or not when making shatter?

When making BHO, is it recommended to pop big bubbles of butane by hand? I'd like to end up with a nice shatter consistency, so I'm afraid popping the bubbles agitate the trichomes, causing them to budder up on me. At the same time, I don't have a vac chamber, so my purge setup is a hot water bath placed on top of a griddle. Therefore, the top of the bubbles don't receive as much heat and they often stay that way.

What do you guys think?

lol no, it doesnt do anything, them popping on their own or by you is the exact same thing and is so insignificant, it doesnt even matter.

as far as shatter, just let it purge thin layer, low heat, over a long period of time, depending on the oil, let it cool off and itll turn to shatter on its own most of the time, requiring heat to work with it unless you can snap a nice shard off every time, which is why I prefer a bit of a sappy taffy texture, versus a shatter like glass thats rock hard and explodes when broken.

We don't pop bubbles, as they seem to do a good job all by themselves.

I don't think popping them agitates the trichomes as much as you think. You should be good.
