what up kieshed. i decided to give the micropot a go. i see that your guys are 4 inches tall but alot wider. i am wondering if this pot would work it is about 3.5"wx 5"h. if i am able to compete than i think it will be interesting to compare my led to cfl grows out there. i got a few pics. some of the container i will be growing in and the seed(afghan kush x skunk) i also have a pic of my tent that i will be growing in. hope you guys enjoy. i have one 12/12 from seed which is the smallest in my tent. i guess it gives you an idea what might come out of this one.

Nice grow , love the colour of light those led`s cast I`m thinking about adding some of that or the new plasma induction lamps to my next grow in a few months.
Some tips or opinions on them would be awesome .
Awesome strain and breeder their strains look good was checking them out on attitude and seen some of W.O.S strains grown on here .

nice the leds are crazy they work great for how much energy they use. i put the seed in the shot glass under the seed bag yesterday so it might be planted soon. i have never herd of w.o.s. i only have it cause it was a freebie haha would you be getting a actual led grow light or possibly try out those new led spot lights or something

Local site did a test on the plasma induction lamps and apparently they last 6 timers longer than an MH and 4 times longer than an HPS can source these locally easily in wattage up too 300 watts , however only in the 6500k so will use that for veg . Any ones I can find they are not too expensive .
The LED`s are more they have them locally aswell the growing ones like the samll U.F.O`S and also higher ones but what type of spectrum and chip size should I look for ?
The local hydroshops and online stores are starting to stock them but they still are quite expensive so I dunno what kind of lights I`ll be going with for my next grow yet .

dang yeah i herd plasmas can be real expensive. and it sucks they are only 6500k. alot of led users say that the small ufos are worthless. i have a pg-180 and i like it so far. there are alot of high end leds which are probably even better but american made is the best bet. has the best led diodes and warranties. but research is always key to buying an led they are a good amount of money.

Okay I also decided to register my children for the contest.
Origins: 7 x AK-47 regular + 4 random bagseeds, 3 AK's have popped out of the dirt. Don't know exact shop / seedbank of AK but I know it's from some Amsterdam seedshop :P .
Pot size: 10 by 9 (cm) flower pot, no pics atm
Soil: Right now the children are potted in peat moss tablets for germination. But later I'll make my own organic mix of some dark potting soil from local gardening company, lot's of healthy humus (compost out of food, leaves and shit..), vermiculite and maybe some clay balls or sand, not sure if I should use them.
Nutes: I'm not sure about using nutes or not, might use some canna terra but I'm aiming for organic grow, so I might be up to stirring some tea ^^
Lights: Right now I have 126 W of cfls, later up for total 222 W's according to my plans.
Size of the room should be something like 40x50x50 (cm) so it's a pretty small box. I'll post pics later with exact size if someone's interested. And I'd also like to know if I'm allowed to hold the 24/7 cycle till all of the seedlings or atleast most of them have popped out of dirt ? I'm not sure about the numbers of the entrants aswell because I might reveg some at the point of sexing.

I've got a 12/12FS going in party cups going as of today--just a coincidence that i found this thread! they're all headband seeds that came from a stressed plant that hermied so we'll see how 12/12 from seed goes with 'em....they're under a cheap chinese ufo LED from a couple years back until i can finish clearing some space for my tent in the garage but then they'll be under T5 (and maybe some cfl sidelight)...i was planning on transplanting to bigger pots, but can I come along for the ride if I leave 3 in the party cups? pics forthcoming! seeds cracked and in soil 8/15. let me know if i can join the party and i'll throw up those pics plus all my specs
be easy

Well its been about a week since my last update. Plant #2 of mine sprouted, chilled for a few days, and then died. Plant #1 has taken forever to get the seed shell off but has done so now and just now beginning to spread its leaves. Plant #2 will be replaced with a Bubbly Kush seed. The updated list is as listed below. Will add new pictures when #2 and #3 sprout.

It has been a long time since I grew from seed, hopefully things get rolling here soon so I can post some good pictures.

Strains: #1 Snow Bud x Champaign, # 2 and #3 Bubbly Kush
Container: Yellow Hefty party cup
Medium: Blue Ribbon soil
Nutes: General Organics Grow/Bloom/CalMag
Lighting: 96Watt T5HO( May increase to 192Watt after a couple weeks)

Plant #1 Champagne x SnowBud - Sprouted 8/10/12
Plant #2 Bubbly Kush - Germing
Plant #3 Bubbly Kush - Germing

Update - 4 Days old and my cotyledon are yellowing. I could tell by the seed shell she had a tough time breaking through, so maybe that's why....but Shorty is a fighter ;) Seems really slow going, but we are only on day 4 here so I'm holding out hope.

Plant #2 - (Shorty 2) germ failed :(
Plant #3- ( Nirvana`s Bubblelicous ) germ failed :( really sad about this one

Shorty will be my only entry unless the other 2 find a way to break through.

My little guy is 7 days old today! Under 12/12 from seed but things are going very slowly tho..this time usually I have some leaves going and so on, this guy hardly has 1 set, its JUST coming out now so I don't know..think I'm giving too little water aswell, like 20ml every 2 days haha but I watered the soil well before I put the seed in so I'm not sure..anyway, temp is about 18'C with lights off with humidity at about 65% and 26'C and 43% with lights on

I'll have to post some pictures tomorrow of my 12/12 from seed in my 4x4 inch pots. Got about 6 babies sprouted, all of the "Bonnie" strain. You can see the Bonnie in the thread in my sig. I'll probably post a picture of her on here when I post the pictures of my other girls. She is sadly not in a 4x4 and in an 8 by 10 so she cannot be in this comp, but she is still 12/12 from seed.

i think it will be interesting to compare my led to cfl grows out there.
I think it would give some people insight and ideas. May be helpful to update with info on your led setup. From what I have read, the quality or usefulness of LEDs can vary as much as the difference between CFL and HPS. Seems to be big dif in early LED and the latest LED technology:?:

Yeh a party cup entry to get the party underway Do it .
Why are people saying that voting for Mitt Romney will be a good thing for stoners / growers ??? Is he realy going to do some kind of flip flop and legalise pot after all the speeches he has given condeming it`s use ?? The gay marriage part I`m indifferent too .
Anyways pretty interesting stuff the dynamics of American politics is too complicated for me haha my vote would probably go to the Republican Mitt Romney since Ron Paul did`nt make it he was even chosen by popular opinion polls in my country ... lol what`s going on there .

Update

Germination started 8/9 and potted 8/11 all 3 up and growing. Aurora Indica has leaves that are a little deformed. Hopefully not an indication of a later problem. I planted 2 of the Auroras a couple months ago but they died. After 2 weeks they were not growing upward. Leaves were growing but barely above soil so I lowered the plants to try and make them stretch for the light. Next day they looked like fresh seedlings someone let fry out in hot sunshine. Perhaps bad seed? The two other plants currently growing are just seeds I decided to use to test soil mixed with coco. I changed soil mixture to which I added a variety of nutes so this is total experiment. Never tried 12/12 and soil quality unknown.
