Nice bump, I think I made a mistake covering he bucket, i think my mix went anaerobic. On two occasions I fed my plants with it then the next day I kid you not my plants were clawing and showing purpling on the leaves along with some serious necrosis. I still have it there I'll post some pics of it 2moro.

i just started 2 new buckets and when i did i done it differently just noticed it has froted up with a foamy substance... the thing i done different was i never put molasses in the water, never cut up the seaweed so that it was all under water and never stirred it everyday like i done last summer and possibly never rinced the salt off enough after taking it out of the salt water.. gonna try again i want to perfect it lol.. i have the same bucket from last year and its working great i strained out the liquid into a bottle a couple weeks ago and capped it when i used it yesterday it smelled so sweet in the bucket it smells like crap lol!!
cant wait to see some pics ill post pics of mine as well.. i put about 50 ml in a 2 litre bottle of water!

so by making this seaweed tea and adding a bit of molasses i can toss out my nutrients? lol i like your old garden and seemed like seaweed tea is the way to go.
i will have to try this out. i will go out and grab me some and start brewing.
do you still use your additives or nutrients plus seaweed? or just straight seaweed?
if i wanted to start what would you recommend me do?
as in feed schedule. tea, tea, water? tea all the way?
sorry for the questions but you got me highly interested lol. if you dont mind me asking, whats your way of feeding? is there any special soil i need to buy or soils to make a mix?
how many ml's?
does it have to be diluted after its done cooking? or feed them straight tea?

hey inked,
no problem i do my best to help anyone out and answer some questions if you use a good rich black earth mixed soil i would say you could toss any other nutrients in my opinion..
i am goin to use straight seaweed molasses tea again that i have brewed last summer, not useing any other nutriants if i can help it in my outdoor grow this year..
what i done was got the fresh seaweed kelp from the ocean rinced the salts off really good and cut it up then filled a bucket with natural spring water (from the mountains no chlorine) and added like 5 tbs of molassesand just stired it everyday or 2 for at least 4 weeks, 3 months you will have a good batch brewed but the longer you brew the stronger it gets so you gotta kinda judge how much to use..
i use my almost 1 year old brew now about 2 tbls per 2 liters very potent now lol, but a 3 month old brew i used like 1 cup per 2 litre now i feed them the seaweed tea itself every second week or so if i think it needs it but i always put a little molasses in its water once a week..
if your getting the molasses be sure its un-sulferred molasses, it has to be 100% sugarcane extract not cooking molasses!!

hope this answers most your questions if i missed some info or your still not sure of something just ask away this is only my second grow using seaweed tea myself but was very satisfied last grow very tasty and clean nice high no harshness from chemical ferts!!!

Good Luck and Happy Growing!!:bigjoint:

ive never heard of worm tea but sounds interesting!!
yeah thats best thing to do take notes i would like to see the difference with the side by side results.. mine are outdoor my 4 clones are doin great just the seed we put out got hit with 2 nights random mountain frost and almost all 31 took a bad stressin, some died some just turned color some stayed half decent normal but they all stunted...
not sure the strains they were mixed outdoor seeds from www.vancouverseedbank.com
ill try and get a few pics to post before and after or something

I've been looking for a link with the right info but can't seem to find a legit one.
Ill keep looking. Anywho that sucks man my dog chewed my mother plants a while back. Very sad day for me lol. Anyways yea man I understand you loose the size during the dry/cure process but I'll be happy just knowing I grew that :)
anywho question.
When I make the tea I can leave the lid on correct?

yeah you can probably be a good idea too poke a couple holes in the lid i just lodged the lid on mine never sealed it tight so air could be exchanged idno if it makes a difference but thats what i done anyways

to add here now!!!! i bottled up all the liquid seaweed fertilizer out of my bucket because it was flat i call it, like pop that lost its fizz..
then i took the left over seaweed that was in there and refilled it with water and added more molasses for a second brew...
a couple days later all the seaweed was floating back to the top and water was bubbling and churning on its own i stir again at least once a day..
and also always leave the top off the bucket i had 2 other buckets i forgot about with the tops on i opened it and it burped up through all the mold on top talk about stink.. barffff...
