fresh air ventiliation with carbon filter combo

Is it possible to use one exhaust fan that sucks air from a carbon scrubber, through 2 HID lights and then push it out the room? The guy at the hydro shop said I need one fan to cool the lights and another fan for exhaust and odor control. Why not two birds with one stone (or fan)?

You could make this work. It sound like you have a small place. I would just go with a bigger fan and filter then you're probably thinking now. You can't really go wrong with a bigger fan because you can just get a fan speed control and adjust it up and down as needed. Also the filters do a much better job when more air is coming through at a slower speed vs. air ripping through the filter at a high speed. I would also try to use 8" duct hoods so you can keep the air flow running smoothly. Put your filter up in the top corner of the room and then hit the lights then exhaust it out. Try to keep the ducting as straight as possible with hard piping vs flex pipe. Also put this setup on one of those day/night T.Stats so that way you can have 75F during the day and 65F during nights.

If you can afford to go to a hydro store you can afford a used 20 lb tank and co2 and 100 dollar regulator.

Then run lights on seperate circuit and once in a while exhaust the room thru a carbone scrubber.

So easy. I could kick myself for waiting so long to do it.

Altho I still have not got the solenoid. So I am manually hitting the co2 knob every few hours that I can and once in a while making it a circuit that just pulls the room clean with the cool tube.

I only have one plant in flower right now. It is super lemon haze. Talk about Low odor. I barely even use the carbon scrubber circuit and mostly just clean the whole room with the tent in it and the carbon scrubber sitting in the tent roof.

Seriously no smell. Weird.
