Freezing Fresh Cut Trim Leaves

freezing will trap the water in the leaf, instead of letting it dry out, if you have water in your leaf later and try for ISO or HBO hash the water will F your shit up, if your doing bubble hash, drying it out first helps break up the little resin glands cause it leaves the cell walls brittle and not-resilient.

computer paper, mulch it up spread it out, every couple hours stir the pile, make a pile spread it back out, should be ready for butter or hash within 24-72 hours, depending
I smoke sweet leaf all day, as an alternative to tobacco.

I never dry my trim. Immediately freezing it or using it right away for hash has gave me the best tasting hash I have ever had. I have tried dried and its fine but fresh frozen trim is way better. BTW I make bubble hash and nothing else so bubble is my only experience with dried vs fresh.

Well this confuses things a little

I have heard alot of people doing this. I think drying it does change the nature of the substance. So, I would put it in paper bags, if need be with layers of paper towels or comp paper in between, and dry it. Then freeze it until you wanna make hash.
but many books/articles do say go ahead and make it fresh, so freexing it then making it after defrost would be the same... you do soak it n water and ice anyways

It doesn't matter what you do, try both and see what you like. Dry some trim and use it and throw some fresh trim in the freezer in some jars or freezer bags. I prefer fresh frozen trim, I think it tastes much better and is a bit more potent so that is how I do it every time now. There is only one way to see the difference for yourself and that is to try both.

After you freeze what method do you use for making your hash, bubble bags, silk screen, tumbler?

I was born to be a bubblehead because my low-land weed always taste harsh and nasty. I mistakenly ordered "solid-walled" bags w/ mesh bottoms because I never read the advertisement thoroughly before I I press the order button. So, if you happen to order the wrong bags, David @ BubblebagDude requests that all returns and refunds be directed to him and NOT AMAZON.
I have their "Manatee" RV washing machine., I initially leave it ON for 15-min, with a follow-up second run for 10-min. I drain the run-off, then pluck out the spent half-moon ice cubes (the better to knock trichs off their pedestal) and spray them off into the machine before throwing them on the ground - then spraying the interior side-walls of the machine to rinse the stranded trichs off and into the drain-pipe.

Bubble made my grown-to-term junk taste like earthy hash. Of my first yield, there was no 190, only 160,120, 90, 73, 45, 25. 73 and 45 taste best.
Any future 190, 160, and 90 will be made into rosin.

Farmer told me to go to this link, since DoubleJJ describes what bolts to use in Low-Temps ram seizing collar to prevent heat-bleed to the ram and thusly thinning the hydraulic fluid, thusly leaking fluid (not the good kind) from the pump cylinder seal. I'll need to find the page number where this reference is made, that you not wade through 17+ pages looking for it. But, couldn't locate any remedy but using motorcycle exhaust tape at the bottom of the top plates ram hole, which worked for the grower, and isolating the ram end from the plate with a circle of leather.

"At first I was using Raw parchment paper and getting the gooey resin off sucked. Putting it in the freezer helped, but it was still shitty paper. Also, on hard presses over 10 ton, the oil/resin would go right through the raw paper and end up on the plates.

I switched to the 10x10'' pre cut oil slick paper and it was smooth sailing . Big difference in the work load, the resin pulled right off, even the goo, and does not go through the paper anymore.

I pressed some older hash and got about 50+% return through 37 bags but consistency was brittle /shatter. That one I had to pull off paper right away when it is still warm before it dries brittle and flies all over the place.
It definitely takes some getting used to to get a knack for it, very temp dependent .." MM

You have two options with weed and trim:
1. Make dry sift.
2. Make bubble-hash
Note: If you dry sieve first, you'll lose a tremendous amount of trichs to the dry sieve when it comes time to make bubble.
Here's the RosinKings set-up. Comes with technical instructions, you'll have to watch the video while the control device is next to you inorder to follow the sellers explanation about how to set the temperature range.

I use PTFE oil slick film instead of rosin bags. Nothing sticks to Oil Slick.
