So, the post harvest has historically been stressful and drawn out, especially in my early days (but even my much later days too).

After much research I have developed a method that is providing me great tasting smoke in around a month after chop.

When harvesting I just defoliate the fan leaves and other large leaves, and then throw the sticks with buds and some leaf in cardboard boxes, where it takes 7-14 days to dry enough depending on your buds.

I either then just cut the buds off the stems, or more often lately go ahead and give a good trim job when jarring up. I then put the jars without lids in the freezer for at least two weeks. I may remove the jars to thaw a few times if I'm in a hurry for smoke, but even at two weeks in the freezer the smell is already wonderful, it used to take me at least 6 weeks of worry to get buds from harvest to hopefully what I'm getting 4 weeks from chop in a much less stressful system, the biggest worry now is that you don't let those airy sativa buds over dry before getting them in the jar into the freezer. You can put your buds that would normally be at a level of high mold risk if you just conventionally jarred and burped, can just go in the freezer and through sublimation remove that excess moisture worry free and with your terpenes intact

I know a few people who sware by the freezer cure method. I don’t have a big enough freezer to try it but.

I would think freezer curing buds would lead to the best quality. Less loss of terpenes, and you can just leave it in there until you want to thaw a piece to smoke. I never done it, but love keeping my weed in the deep freezer keeps it fresh.
